Top Shawarma Smithfield — Restaurant in Sydney

I had the worst dining experience here. The customer service was non-existent, and the staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful. Not only that, but the food preparation took an eternity, leaving us waiting fir an unacceptable amount of time. When the food finally arrived, it was of poor quality, lacking taste and freshness. The overall atmosphere was disappointing, and i regret wasting my time and money here. I would strongly advise against visiting this place unless you enjoy terrible service and subpar food.

On top of the abysmal service and poor food quality, the owner’s behaviour was utterly shocking. Witnessing the owner engage in a heated argument with a customer who rightfully refused to wait an for and hour for their food. Instead of acknowledging the issue and attempting to rectify the situation, the owner displayed a complete lack of care, further emphasising the utter disregard for customer satisfaction at this restaurant. NEVER...

Top shawarma, more like bottom shawarma. Fairfield has an abundance of shawarma stores in it and this is one to avoid. I'm sure if you flew to Antarctica you'd get better shawarma than this joint . After seeing the reviews from multiple people and the google reviews I thought let's try it. Unfortunately i should have run back to my car and gone for something else. Food wise compared to what is around it, poor. Meat and chicken is more dry than Sahara desert. Meat and chicken was colder than a Sydney's winters night and that's saying something. The chips, I wish I was kidding, I found a chip from a Smith chip instead of fried chips. Also which shawarma joint doesn't have cheese!

The worst part of all this is the customer service. Very poor. People on this particular night were waiting for a good 20-25 minutes. The servers were arguing with each other instead of fixing wrongs that they have done.

Honestly there is no pride in this...

The only thing worth coming here for is the knafeh (which is truly AMAZING). Aside from that the food was below average and the service was terrible. It took 20 minutes to receive our shawarma, despite us being the only ones there when we ordered. There were some customers who ordered 10 minutes after us but for some reason they got their shawarmas first. I suspect because they were regulars.

The girl who took our order was rude and had an attitude right from the start. When our food came the chips were cold and soggy / undercooked. We had requested sweet chilli in our shawarma but they clearly didn’t put it in. It was very underwhelming.

Again, the knafeh is delicious and the people selling it are lovely so it is worth paying this place a visit! But only...
