Flavours of Nepal — Restaurant in Sydney

Me and two of my friends went to have lunch today and we order, 1 serving of chicken lolipop as entree, 2 serving of Jhol momo and 1 serving of fried rice as mains. It took so long for the fried rice and 2 of my friend already had their jhol momo but fried rice didnot came up. We wait almost 15 mins after we finish jhol momo and we were getting late so we asked the waitress to cancel the order and she refused to do it and then she asked us to wait. If you are 3 person and 2 are eating and one is just waiting for the food its so ridiculous . I dont understand what type of service was that. If its going to be delay for the food you have to let the customer know. After the waitress refused to cancel the order we asked her to do takeway and we were still trying to communicate with that waitress but she was very ignorant and went inside and after 5 mins she bring the fried rice and we said we asked for takeaway as we were getting late, she dont even say anything again ignore us and bring takeaway box and just put on the table . Like seriously what kind of customer service was that. This is my first time facing such issue. I understand sometimes kitchen might be busy and food might be delayed but when we went there , there was only few tables. And also the jhol momo was not good , jhol was so sour. I am never ever going back to this resturant..I am giving the resturant owner a genuine feedback please focus on customer service and try to improve...

This restaurant has recently had a makeover. They have redone the interior to give it more of a restaurant vibe rather than a seedy shisha bar/ cafe. It's nicer than it was before but still feels overly spacious inside. They have middle eastern food and new Nepalese menu. The introductory menu is 50% off during their test phase. This makes that food great value, but without that discount this menu would be way too expensive. I think that if the standard price was about 75% of those current pricing, that would be on par with other local Nepalese restaurants. The staff seem like they are still working out how to run the restaurant but they are polite and try hard to please customers. The Momo plater is fabulous! We had the chicken version and the chilli level was just right. Great flavours too; combination of Chinese and Indian spices. They have a external glasssed in smoking area for shisha too, if you're into that. Also, the brown sauce that comes with the deep fried vegetable entree...

Really I couldn’t stop myself writing this review, food was really horrible. Ordered pani puri, jira alu, jira rice, kothe momo, steam momo and drink. Pani puri masala and kothe momo was stale and smelled so horrible. Jira alu was bland and no salt added at all. To be honest I didn't even bothered to try jira rice. My drink was missing and gave them a call to enquire. I was told they miss to send my drink as they were busy which is totally understandable but I was told its non refundable which makes no sense. Its not about 5$ drink, but customer service and how you try to fix your poor service matters most. Lady who answered my call was polite and sweet though.
