I have read the reviews from other people and was determined to be as objective as possible. Honestly, the truth is somewhere half way. I think the primary attraction, duck slicing and pancake is not the best ever but the chef slice in front of us and I felt quality is market standard. Cheaper than what you pay in Burwood/Chatswood. Duck was 7/10. Other dishes we had egg plant and capsicum, very tasty, beans stir fry, also five stars. It is not a place that screams luxury or coziness and family like a wood fired pizza restaurant would. Something is clearly missing here. Brisk home delivery trade. Not a place you recommend to relatives nor one you regret going into. In a market so near Burwood and Ashfield, it is not likely to be appreciated....

I used to come here quite frequently specifically for the duck. Definitely used to be a go to place for it. Unfortunately I didn’t review these recent google reviews prior to a todays visit & I have to agree with the recent reviews. The owner has changed, menu has changed and the duck has changed.

The duck portion was quite large, however the duck tasted like it was heated up via the microwave and possibly multiple duck pieces from different ducks? Didn’t taste fresh.

$100.00 meal, we left without eating it all and went to Burwood to get something else.

Restaurant has a lot of potential, however feels quite neglected, poor ambiance and overall food quality has significantly dropped.

First of all I want to say is that this restaurant has the best Beijing duck I’ve ever eaten in my life. Most other restaurants don’t even give the full duck! If you come early enough (and there’s not many people around) the chef will personally come and cut the duck up for you! It’s the best show ever! Second of all the service is amazing I always get what I ask for and they never forget anything they’re so easy to talk to and so nice! Third of all this restaurant has been here for quite a long time it has been here for so long I don’t even know I’ve been coming here for more than 10 years. And the taste has been the same!
