Laytani Lebanese Cuisine & Cafe — Restaurant in Sydney

STAY AWAY!!! I would give a rating of zero if I could. There was not one good thing I could say about this place. When we first arrived the place was almost empty, we were seated and placed our orders with some very minor changes to some of the dishes we ordered - swapping a dip and skewer to another type (which are priced the same!). We waited almost an hour for the food to come, (can’t imagine how long it would have taken if they had other customers in the restaurant!) When the food finally came out, we were so suprised at the serving size. The cost was way above the average lebanese dish and less than half the amount of food. Three quarters of the ‘mixed plate’ dish was taken up with a thin layer of hummus, literally 5 pieces of ‘chips’ and 3 small bland skewers. It was only when we went to pay, we also realised that for every minor change we made costed $2 per change - this was not mentioned at all when we were ordering! To top it off the girl at the register was extremely rude when we kindly asked her to advise customers next time of the additional fees. They also charged me $5 for a small bottle of coke, which is ridiculous. Anyway, I ended up paying about $45 just for myself for terrible customer service, overpriced, standard food which arrived an hour late. They could at least try and get one...

I expected to go out and have standard customer service with a group of friends, unfortunately it didn't go as planned, instead I waited 36 minutes for 1 small cappuccino, I walked in to see what was going on with my coffee, instead I walked in to find a staff member on her phone, and it seems to be they completely forgot their customers request for a simple coffee, I complained about me waiting for a coffee I kept my manners and calm, and I said sorry I don't mean to be rude, she responded with no you did mean to be rude, her priority is customer satisfaction and by the looks of it she doesn't meet the requirements to be in the food industry, I asked her to cancel the coffee and I'll pay and leave, I paid ... However as I was leaving my friend was called by a different disrespectful staff member, she raised her voice and started yelling saying my other staff member is crying because of you, they exchanged some disgusting words along with my friend, at the end they went their seperate ways!

If anyone is looking for pathetic customer service and wants to wait more than 30 minutes for a coffee, visit laytanis they surely wouldn't let you down, I swore to...

I am a regular customer at Laytani's and I have been going there for a while. However, tonight's service was DISGUSTING! My friend and I ordered a plate of fried kibby. When that plate arrived, my friend cut it open and the meat inside was precooked but completely frozen. We told the staff about it and asked to cancel the order. The waitress was understanding, however, when she told someone higher than her she spoke badly about us loud enough that we could hear it. Then had the nerve to go back and cook the kibby properly and bring it back and implied that we were lying. They said we weren't allowed to make any additional orders or change our minds about the kibby. So we canceled our preordered argileh and swore to never return.
