I am representing 5 other families who came to this restaurant very recently. We went there based on the recommendation of a colleague who is a chinese. I wish I had never come to this restaurant. Grand Fortune by FAR is the worst Chinese Restaurant we have been into. Personally, it is the worst restaurant ive been and I love eating out. IF there is rate of (-), I would rate them -100! They are Understaffed (full restaurant, only 2 staff), Rude, Inconsiderate, provided Worst service ever!! We came in before 6pm. Waited for 1 hour until they took our order. Then the girl who took our order was bloody rude, she didn't apologise, complained of what we have ordered, questioned our decision to put our kids on the other table. She said that if the kids are sitting there, it would be messy. U KIDDING ME? ISNT THAT YOUR JOB???! And u work in the restaurant! Then we had to wait for another hour for our 1st dish to come. We were so frustrated by then, we saw many families who ordered after us got served before us, and some of them had finished their food. Then, without apologising, the same girl came to us after 2 hours waiting ! and ASKED if we could move our kids to another table so far from us!!! This was IT for me!! By that time I was ready to scream!! How DARE she!? Such a rude rude person!!! We finally decided to just walk off the restaurant, paid for the rice we didn't even eat! So we decided to bring our money somewhere else.. To be honest! That was the worst restaurant service I have experienced in my entire life! To top that we paid for it!
1 month later, my colleague who recommended me this restaurant had vowed not to come back to this restaurant anymore as Grand Fortune RIPPED him and his family off buying Crabs. He came here; like always, he ordered the usual expensive crab origins. (I don't even remember what type of crab he got, basically he chose the BEST type ) When they brought in the crabs, they were given different type of crabs than to what he first chosen! Not wanting to ruin his family's mood, they ate the crab without saying anything . He told us this other type of crab was much smaller and less tastier). He knew IT because : 1. his family owned a seafood distribution, he grew up with seafood, 2. he is a foodie and loves seafood, he knows his seafood! After dinner, he went to the cashier (the same girl; owner that was super rude to us - we know coz we took picture of her before we left in rage!), he told them that he had been coming to this restaurant regularly in the past 2 months, then they switched the crabs and charged him the original crabs he first chosen! He told them that he knows what they did. He still paid for it and he said, he will not come back there again! He was very disappointed with this.
This restaurant is a scan! making money by scamming their customers! Such a disgrace!
I saw many other feedbacks with the similar experiences if you are reading this, please please do yourself a favor! Go to another restaurant before you wasted your...
Read morePersonally would give this place zero stars if i could. I have reason to believe i was discriminated against due to the fact that the entire resturant plus kitchen and staff were all chinese and i was the only person who was a foreigner to these people. Every single table recieved table water, green tea and black tea with a special chili dipping sauce even before they get a menu whereas I didnt receive anything besides attitude from the lady at the front and a fork and spoon. Everybody else was given chopsticks.
Not to mention the hour and 10 minutes spent waiting only to recieve an entree with undercooked vegetables as well as being charged $28.10 for a dish which was advertised as being $15 with a side of schwepps lemonade which is also advertised as $3.50 that we had to buy because the waiter would not look our way or come to us when we had our hand up trying to ask for table water. I also would watch as people who arrive 35minutes after us with full fresh 1kg lobster dishes would receive their food before we even received a can of drink. (I only ordered fried rice and lemon chicken + entree)
Would never eat here again, they also sell shark which is an endangered species and ILLEGAL to sell in Australia. Worst service i have ever received, long waits and overpriced dishes for what i would call mediocre...
Read moreWorst Yum cha place I’ve ever been. I went there with my wife and my 2 year old daughter. The waiter directly wrote 3+1 as the number of persons on the paper. Then we tried to order food as we normally do. However, there was no food cart at all, or they just ignored you. Even I saw a dish that I would like from on of the dim sim carts, somehow the waitress just went away and said would come back to me. And surely she didn’t come back to me at all. Even when I tried to talk to a manager/owner like guy, it didn’t help the situation. The old lady sitting behind me at the corner was also struggling to order as no one looked after her. The whole service is a mess. On top of that, the food tasted like pre-cooked ones from bags, instead of something they cook on the day. The worst part that i cannot take, is that they charge $1 for tee fee for my 2 year old daughter. Even when I asked the lady again, she still confirmed that they do charge the kid for the tea. It is an absolute common sense that tea like coffee is not suitable for kids in that age. Somehow they don’t have this common sense, or they just want to charge more. Anyway, this is a place I’ll never revisit. So terrible...
