Grill'd Burgers - Narellan — Restaurant in Sydney

Very disappointing... ordered the sweet chilli chicken burger, a side of zucchini fries, water and a pure blond. Just to be clear it was Monday night and not busy... we ordered and sat down got told they would bring the beer out i grabed my water myself... it took over 40+mins! When bringing the food out they first took it to two other tables before bringing it over (i had to tell her i think that is my order before she did so).

The order came over with the wrong bun ( the bun was that stale that i removed it and ate the burger without it ) when i asked for the correct bun that was ordered they simply said they had run out, the burger was very skimpy on the remaining ingredients. The chicken was tiny, tough and barely warm and everything else bearly there the fries were oily and also not hot, but warm and there was around a tablespoon of oil in the bottom of the chip container.

Also the beer was only brought out after receiving the meal when we asked about it... the staff were not overly busy as they were talking and having a joke while tables surrounding us stayed cluttered and dirty the entire time we were there.

The table next to us asked if what we ordered was correct as he thought he may of gotten our order as his was wrong also they had also been waiting quite a while.

This was our second visit, the first visit was a night and day difference great food, fresh and well made... as well as great and quick service, hence why we returned. But after the last experience im not sure...

So we ordered at the register and (apparently) that particular one was not working and our order didn't register. We went up to the counter about 45 mins after and asked what was going on and I must have looked like an alien stopping by to get a bite to eat. ( No idea)

Anyhow, there was no apology nor any urgency nor a nice gesture to say sorry. Normally I wouldn't care but the kids had yet to eat and the way they reacted was like we had made the mistake.

The younger staff who were looking after tables need to better manners ( one did) and are aloud to speak and smile. Life ain't that bad. They walk past like the place is empty .

Again the senior staff at the register was no better . It's no wonder the staff are not communicating.

They will look at this review and just shrug it off. So be it, but I own a buis and if this was my staff , I'd be extremely disappointed . Mistakes happen whether they are in or out of our control but it's how we deal with it. This was how not to deal with it.

Two serious mistakes at Grill’d Narellan

I visited Grill’d Narellan today and ordered the Summer Sunset burger. I told the staff clearly that I have a severe egg allergy a life-threatening allergy. I repeated several times that if I eat egg, it can be extremely dangerous.

They told me the bread doesn’t contain egg and that they would replace the mayonnaise with a vegan option. But still, I was served a burger that caused an immediate allergic reaction my throat started to itch and I had to vomit.

They then gave us a new burger. But when we got home, we saw that it had bacon in it. We had clearly said that we do not want bacon, because we are Muslims and we don’t eat pork for religious reasons.

So the restaurant made two serious mistakes: first with the allergy, and then again by including bacon after we had asked not to.

I really hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else. Food allergies can be life-threatening, and someone could die from a mistake like this. Allergies must always be taken...
