I have had so many friends rave about this place, but I was never able to get here. Well things changed and here I am .there is nothing I love more than walking into a new restaurant and taking in the atmosphere and sights. I wasn't dissapointed. Straight away your hit with the sight of the biggest sushi train you've ever seen and many happy people sitting around the train eating, laughing or working on their laptops. The food is absolutely amazing. The tables around the train sit four people. There is soy on the table and wasabi and ginger travel around on the train. Every table has a computer screen for ordering items not on the train. There are many categories on this screen, so make sure you don't miss out. I ordered calamari and it was to die for. No need to chat to a waiter or waitress, you can help yourself to drinks in the fridge and with your colour coded plates it is all tallied up at the end Extremely cosy atmosphere. I recommend, you won't be dissapointed There is free carparking with wheelchair accessible parking and entry No toilets, but if you exit the restaurant, there are toilets...
Read moreDecent food, normal price, and you never really have much of an issue getting a seat. I’ve always had decently good experiences at this sushi joint until today. One short haired, young chef constantly stared at me throughout our visit making me feel a bit odd. Then, once I stood up ready for payment, he spoke to two other chefs who immediately turned around and stared at me, smiled/laughed and continued to talk in another language while staring at me up and down like a sexual object. As I walked to the register, they continued to stare at me and made eye contact with myself. I am so disgusted in the way they acted. I am unsure what they were staring at (I believe it may be my breasts) , but either way it made me extremely uncomfortable and self-conscious. I told the woman who took our payment at the end and she did apologise. I appreciate her apology. I’ll never be stepping foot in this joint again if those chefs are there. Disappointing.
Edit to reply: I appreciate your apology and professionalism on the matter, as you can imagine I left feeling very uncomfortable....
Read moreDidn't really meet my expectations, sorry.
I eat sushi about 1-2 times a week and have eaten many places around Sydney but unfortunately this one was quite a big miss for me and won't be returning.
Much of the sushi is covered in a yellow and orange sauce, some spicy some not but there was just so much of it..it's almost all you can test and it covers about 50% of their sushi plates on the conveyor belt. There's also just so much chicken..anything beyond the chicken or not drenched in sauce, you'll have to order it.
Additionally, when we ordered some plates through their POS the sushi came out very warm, doesn't make the sushi experience very enjoyable.
Lastly, the ambiance is a bit of a miss as well. I don't understand why places that go for a fancy ambiance but still use white fluorescence lighting, instead of a bit more of a warm white to make it feel cosy and inviting.
I'd recommend visiting a few other sushi restaurants and not just look at the sushi but also the atmosphere, hopefully looking forward to coming back...
