GRillaz — Restaurant in Sydney

Wow. What a disappointment. We ordered Grillaz last night as we have been for over a year now almost each weekend. Lately, we’ve cooled off a little as the food hasn’t been that great but I thought it was just a fluke or maybe a substitute chef for the night or some other covid related reason and I brushed it off. But omg, last night was a true representation of how horrible this place has become. Grillaz used to be the BEST in town! The biggest patties, the most generous portions, great service and all the rest of it. The order I received last night - standard beef burger on a lettuce bun… there were 3 pieces of tiny lettuce not large enough to hold even half the burger, the beef patty was greasy and about ⅓ of the size they used to be at the start of 2020. I used to eat one of these burgers and not be able to breathe, this time, I had to make myself a second dinner afterwards. The chips was a whole other story… usually you grab a few chips and as bad as they are for you - you still want to eat more. I had a few chips and was sick from the amount of oil and no flavour in them at all. They were overdone and just saturated in oil that was probably a few days old. I think this is what happens when an owner gets too greasy and tries to expand to several businesses instead of focusing on one they were truly amazing at. Sorry but we will never order from here again. So sad for such a great place to...

Popped into GRillaz for an impromptu dinner tonight and was SO glad we did! The photos really speak for themselves, but for those who want the juicy deets: from when we walked through the door, every single staff member was on the ball and incredibly personable. The venue was clean and superbly laid out, with 2 terrace areas, a bar, pool table area, and ample space for larger groups. To the food: the guys behind the grill are clearly passionate about what they plate up! Both of our burgs (the Ozzie and the Parmi) were sensationally fresh, made with great quality ingredients, and presented supremely well. The Parmi burger was perfectly seasoned (a thick piece of tender chicken breast, not overly battered, salty, nor oily), the salads were crisp and tasty, and the buns were pillowy soft, warm and deliciously fresh! To my surprise and delight, my burg came with a tasty spiced dipping sauce, and a massive bowl of crunchy, well-seasoned fries. 100% recommend hitting this place up if you're in the east, and if you aren't, what these guys have on offer is certainly worth travelling for. GRillaz is our fave new local burger joint!

It's quite nice. We've had a couple times. Both in the store where it is next to the McDonald's and upstairs, and also for convenient delivery

The cheeky burgers are tiny, they're more like sliders and not a kids burger. See comparison with credit card size.

The beef is a good that got this chargrilled taste to them. It's not really classically standout just a very standard burger. There is supposed to be cheese in there but it gets lost in the sauce and everything. In other words not enough cheese

The fish burgers are very nice, the fish fillets oh nice and crispy with the melted cheese on them.

The beef brisket is nice and soft and just like you imagined it would be. It's got lots of veggies and is probably good for small kids who might not like to chew other Meats.

The pork belly is amazing. The way the Crisp crackle interacts with the wasabi mayo it's really something to try at least once. It's a very big messy burger though, with all the sauce dripping and the vegetables you will definitely...
