Awesome fit out. What a transformation of the building. Lots of different seating options and a really nice and comfy space.

In regards to the meal, the steak frites was on point. Perfectly medium rare and nice herbed butter to go with the steak. Crispy herbed frites too. The duck was falling off the bone, but unfortunately a little too dry and a little too salty for our liking. Mussels were nice, quite a different way of presenting them, almost looking like oysters!

Staffing such a large establishment during these times must be tough, and so I will definitely forgive the service from our dining experience. Full of enthusiasm, but unfortunately lacked the skill required to go with the upmarket French bistro feel. Leaving me stranded with one beer only, they definitely left some money on the table not asking for a repeat drink order. Whilst very pleasant we were left wanting. It kind of felt like the pub downstairs had leant Lorraine their staff for the night. I'm sure another few weeks of service and they'll get the hang of it, just a little off the night we went.

Will definitely be back to check though as it is such a wonderful space. Hopefully I get to order more than one...

During these times of economic crisis and financial woe, when all hope is lost and self-dignity scattered to the wind as you are forced to learn to cook more at home, you stumbled across this beacon of light in the dark. Like Aladin discovering the magical lamp in the desert, Loraines cast spells on my taste buds which had me wishing for more than three courses.

There was a beautiful personal touch as we were visited at our table by the head chef, Chichi, who was charming and charismatic enough for me to argue with my girlfriend post dinner... she thought i was flirting with him.

If ever there was a greater quest i would recommend venturing out to this amazing restaurant. Frodo himself would repeat the journey if Lorraines were to be rellocated to the heart of Mount Doom due to the soaring rental prices in Sydney. I highly recommend a visit here!

Further note i tried the pub food downstairs at the Robin Hood Hotel and that is another undiscovered gem for these cold Sydney winter days.

Final note... I think i was flirting with the chef, my girlfriend has since left me, and im not...

Used to be great and went there often. Great food, amazing wait staff. We booked on the 14th Sept, was told upon being seated that we needed to order all food and drinks over the bar. We were a bit shocked as when planning to spend around $400 $500 for 2 on food, good wine and cocktails over a couple of hours, table service is to be expected. Entree / small share menu looks much the same, but mains are just a glorified bar menu with burgers etc. No chef specials or the delicious seafood or fench dishes that used to be present. We got up and left, very dissapointing and won't be back. What made it even more peculiar is there were 2 people behind the bar, 2 wait staff that were standing around doing absolutely nothing at all... as only 4 other people...

We enjoyed a fab evening celebrating the re-opening of our office! The food was superb and the GRILL!!! The service was great and heads up to Sam the Sommelier... Great location and we will be back! Just heard they were awarded 1 hat - well deserved and given the BS of the last few years a fantastic achievement to the team! Since reopening a few new team members have taken Lorraine's to another level - well done!

Delicious high quality plates, selection of wines and great service. The owners and staff are a delight and very welcoming. A really great vibe with some fab cocktails to boot! We tried several of their entrees, the meat was โ€˜a melt in your mouth momentโ€™ a great selection of desserts - everything was de-li-cious. Highly recommended. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
