Vacanza was a leader in the style of pizza that thereafter evolved to the pizza-air style you get from wood fired ovens. The good news is that there is still a place for what they do here. It's more substantial than the evolved versions. The crust has more heft, but less tear and chew. The plus is that it holds the toppings well. As the leader, it signalled a virtuous sugo that remains, and decent mozzarella likewise. On my visit, there were twice the staff as customers. In this situation, I felt a little like I was interrupting, but all was well. Would I return for a $26 margherita? Well, in the same circumstances, sure. But I wouldn't travel for it.

You can't go wrong with Vacanza Pizza. They have a delectable selection of red and white base pizzas, with a small selection of traditional pasta and lasagne dishes too. The staff here are very friendly and patiently take the time and effort to translate and explain the Italian ingredients. Have been going here for years and walk out feeling satisfied every time.

Great pizza’s, definitely the most authentic Italian pizza restaurant in the area. There are lots of pizza restaurants and takeaway options in the Bronte & Charing cross area but this restaurant serves by fare the best quality Italian pizza. Friendly staff and indoor, outdoor and takeaway dining options.

Absolutely love this place. Vacanza on Bronte Road is easily one of my favourite spots in Sydney. The vibe is warm and welcoming, and the food is unreal every time. The pizzas are proper woodfired with that perfect crisp/chew combo, and the ingredients are always super fresh.

But honestly, what makes it extra special is the people. Angi the manager is just the sweetest, so genuine and kind, always making you feel like you’re at home. And Emilie, our waitress, was absolutely amazing. She’s honestly such a gem with beautiful energy, super attentive, and just really lovely to chat to.

Couldn’t recommend it more. Whether you’re on a date, out with friends, or just in need of a pizza night, Vacanza hits the spot...

Unprofessional and belittling service. We specifically ordered a gluten-free pizza for a member of our group with a severe intolerance. We confirmed the gluten-free request twice with the waitress, who acknowledged it. Despite this, the pizza arrived not gluten-free. When we raised the issue, we were dismissively told we had never mentioned it and that there were no gluten-free bases available. After requesting to speak with the manager, a gluten-free base was suddenly found, but instead of taking responsibility, the manager attempted to excuse the error by claiming the room was too loud for the waitress to hear properly. We were shocked by the approach and found it frankly...
