Came here because i saw lots of great reviews so i was excited to try it. However, my experience was disappointing yesterday.

I took my partner here for a late lunch. I've been craving for some good Indonesian food.

It said that they are open from 3pm-8pm. We arrived there at 3.30pm and it was still closed. So i called the number shown at the store front and the person answering the phone said "it should be open". My partner and i were a bit confused so we wait because we came all the way here so we might as well wait a little. About 10 mins later, one of the staff arrived and start opening the shop. Around 10 mins after he arrived, we managed to order however he told me more than half of the menu is unavailable. I ordered sate padang, nasi uduk and batagor. The staff replied to me with "I will try my best to make it because we just open" and that statement should be a sign for us to just go eat somewhere else.

15 minutes into waiting for the food, the staff come out and let us know that batagor is not available as well. We were like okay thats fine. Seems like this shop is not prepared to be open and everything is not available. After quite a long wait, the food came out and it was not like what the good reviews i've been reading here.

As indonesian, i was pretty disappointed with the dishes we ordered. Nasi uduk : chicken and rendang was cold and the rice itself was the shape of takeaway container box so we know they just microwave it from the container box and put it straight to the plate. Sate padang : this was also cold and the sauce for sate padang was quite bland.

I've never write bad reviews about Indonesian restaurants, as fellow Indonesian i wanna support my own people however this one i feel like its just necessary to let people know...

Been there first time today and the staffs were friendly. Along with oxtail soup, satay beef skewers are the only things I liked there.

The vegetables dish called goda goda I'm not sure about others but I didn't like the flavour of it.

What I said earlier is the reason why I gave it one star.

Careful with the whereabouts streets tend to be a clumsy pain in the butt find but follow gps you won't have a problem. Some cars parked there actually takes over your lane. Was about to write a note saying "NICE PARKING JOB'!!!!

Also think I was overcharged during lunch when the menu says the price is between $10-$15... Theres meals I had should total about under $44-$50. I was charged $70. Just my mistake for not double checking. I recommend people that ever eat there to look into prices on menu and add the total BEFORE ordering. It was a silly mistake of mine that shouldn't have been this expensive with small portions of food. I think people wanting a full plate would be the crispy chicken dishes along with rice. The soups are merely more soup less quantity. I had the Indonesian black soup I didn't even like it. My mum had oxtail soup and that was so much better. You could drink the soup too. Just trying there once, waitress was nice and friendly, but I wouldn't go back there. Up to the other people whether to...

Bought a gado gado and a beef rendang. The gado gado is very watery. Lots of cucumber and bean sprouts. Im looking for authentic Indonesian gado gado "ulek" (mashed with stones) thick peanut sauce not using watery peanut butter soup like this one. Im looking for the one at Warung Ita Lakemba before they closed and at Canteen Wilis. Very disappointed, will never go there and will tell my families & friends to not visit here. Beef rendang also watery soup, not thick, 2 beef that is medium size, the other 5 beef is cube small. UPDATE: Tried the beef rendang, its NOT delish! I never wrote bad review to any Indonesian foods place. This is 1st Time!!! I love Canteen Willis @ Pyrmont, Ayam bakar saudara @ Penshurst & Warung Ita (used to be at Lakemba). I was a regular gado gado customer there until they moved to Arncliffe. Since then, its so hard to find Gado Gado as authentic as Willis and Ita. However this Gado gado is NOT Gado gado. Its just watery beansprouts, peanut butter with hot water and lots of chillies. Thank you for the chillies thats kickin but everything else is...

Wonderful Indonesian foods! One of my favourite Indonesian restaurants in Sydney, and it's a personal plus as it's local to me. All of the foods that I have tried are all just delicious: Nasi Rames Padang (Rice with Rendang, Chicken, Cassava Leaves Curry, Chilli Egg), Nasi Goreng (Fried Rice), Ayam Sereh (Chilli Lemongrass Chicken), Ayam Bakar (Grilled Chicken), Ayam Penyet (Fried Chicken with Chilli Sauce), Sate Ayam (Chicken Satay), Iga Bakar (Grilled Beef Ribs), Gulai Kikil (Beef Tendon Curry), Tahu Isi (Fried Stuffed Tofu). Lovely customer service too, this is my regular restaurant to order Indonesian foods for sure!

We come here mainly for the fried foods. Fried duck is always amazing, crispy and soft. The BBQ Chicken (Ayam Panyet) is also very nice. I have tried other foods but these two are the best so far. The staff are always friendly. It's rather challenging finding halal duck. If you're in the area, try the fried duck and the BBQ chicken, I'm sure you'll enjoy them! Pricing is reasonable.
