IN REPLY 24April 2025 - perhaps it's you who doesn't understand the customer/seller relationship. I give you money, you give me what I paid for. Nowhere is it stated or even implied that we enter into a dialogue about our transaction. When I hand over my money, I have an expectation that you do your absolute best. I was disappointed with your product, that's my prerogative. At the end of my review, I acknowledged that your regular customer base must like what you do. So why attack me for my opinion? What my review should have done is make you look at your product with a critical eye and ask yourself, is this the best I can do? If it is, then you have no cause to be so aggressive. Attracting new business is as critical as retaining existing business. And you're right, I get disappointed a lot. 5April 2025. This was a pick-up takeaway. Ordered 4 Family size pizzas for a birthday celebration. Extremely disappointing. these could have been Domino pizzas, the kindest way to describe then was tasteless. Ham and Mushroom (extra $) could have been anything. Couldn't taste either. The pepperoni was sparse, ultra thin slices of salami. And the supreme was only discernable because of the olives and capsicum. Whatever cheese you're using, get rid of it. It might say cheese on the packet but doesn't taste like cheese and has a zero fat content. And finally, your bases are more like dishwashing sponges. I don't want to rain on your parade, if the majority of your customers like their pizzas like this, keep doing what you're doing....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe holy grail. The Firenze Pizza, especially, I would like to be buried with it. I have eaten pizzas at the fabled parlours of New York (Di Fara's, Patsy's), spent a week in Rome and a week in Naples, eating pie after pie after pie. North Rocks Gourmet could go toe to toe with any of them. It sounds insane, I know. And don't get me wrong; I have had za's that have been on par with NRG, but I've never actually had one that is better. It is somehow an authentic yet fundamentally Australian take on this classic dish. I've been frequenting this joint for going on 12 years, and the consistency is stunning. Every time: the angels sing. When people say "my favourite food is pizza" it's all well and good to think "yeah righto" because they are usually referring to a Domino's Pepperoni... But my favourite food is this specific pizza. When I've known someone for a long enough amount of time, and I think they deserve it, I'll take them to this place - because I enjoy watching heads explode. If I could list one negative it would be that whenever I sample other pizzas in Sydney at an equivalent price point it feels like a rip off. The proprietors and dough-pullers of North Rocks Gourmet Pizza deserve knighthood for services to the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNever Again! This is why supermarkets, Domino's and Pizza Hut will never go out of business. We've lived in the area for over 12 years and have given this place chance after chance, time and time again but only on the rare occasion and after telling them to not burn the pizza have they not burnt a basic cheese pizza. Mostly disappointment. There's nothing worse than spending the night looking forward to a nice pizza, placing your order and having burnt pizza show up to the door and you're thinking "how can you get it so wrong?!" It's a cheese pizza?! The owner needs to anonymously and randomly order a pizza, have a look, and ask themselves "is this what I would expect if I ordered a pizza for my family?" Or go to another pizza restaurant and see what they are offering. Enough said. Never again wasting time and effort on giving this place a chance. Don't believe all the 5 star ratings.
[Edit: all pizzas were...
