North Rocks Shopping Centre — Local services in Sydney

North Rocks shopping centre is great and I so far have had good experiences. Not today though. I took an appointment for facial at Venus Nails opposite TK Maxx. The room had no privacy, the bed was dusty, the lady unfriendly. No fresh accessories, like towels handed out in a cold room. 10 minutes into the facial, the lady put a mask and said she will return in 15 minutes. After 20 minutes, when she didn't turn up, i knocked on the door and called out. No response from outside. I waited another 2 min and opened the door with my mask on, and called for someone to attend. A male then said she's coming. 2 more or so minutes went by and then I opened the door and spoke aloud, if they don't have time then to not give appointments. I said I wouldn't want to continue with the facial. The lady then turned up. I told her to clean my face and i won't pay for the discomfort, poor service and wasting my time. She argued and said she will call security. I told her to go ahead and that I will lodge a complaint with fair trading too. At that point she said, pay $20 for the service provided. I was exasperated by then. I paid $20 and left, deciding never to return to this place where there is no professionalism or good customer service. As much as I like coming to the shopping centre they have recently had a charity outside of sketches and it’s such a narrow area. You just can’t avoid them. There’s three guys that usually stand outside sketches and they chase you. They harass you. They get your face. It’s really concerning. I had to change my whole route to avoid them and walk through the entire car park just so I didn’t have to talk to them again. They’re there every day and they are desperate. I don’t think a charity should be blocking an area where traffic come and go and I don’t think a charity should be harassing customers chasing them down and abusing them. This is the fault of centre management for allowing a charity to disturb their customers and I feel like you’re gonna lose a lot...

North Rocks is a lovely clean shopping centre with a NSW Service Centre well staffed and very helpful staff many smiling and offering help if you have a problem it is clean and great seating and signs. Kmart is great for shopping for children and adults at reasonable prices. They have a good range of cloths work gear, kitchen utensils , bedding at competitive prices, books for all ages, craft gear, baby and toddlers gear and toys at very competitive prices. Coles and Audi good clean shops and many small shops. A lovely flower shop which does lovely arrangements .Food shops to take away and sit at with helpful staff . Newsagents with very helpful staff and jewellery shops with lovely jewellery. Great parking car service centre so a good place to shop...
