Abysmal service and attitude, lost potential regular customers.
I came in a few weeks ago, took a look at the menu and ordered one open cheese pizza ($5.50) and one meat pizza ($4.50) - total of $10.00 as per their menu board, and since I had only a $10.00 note on me.
Girl took my order, repeated it, I said correct, and she asked me if I want lemon and chilli on the meat, I said yes and asked me if I want those in a box, which I also said yes - pretty standard in all Lebanese pizza places.
I came back from the pharmacy next door, my order was ready, the younger girl attended to me at the counter, my pizzas were ready and boxed, and she asked the older girl how much etc. to which she gave her the prices. She rang them up on the till and asked me for $10.50.
I pointed out on their menu board, $5.50 for a cheese and $4.50 for a meat, that makes $10.00? She said yes, but it's 50 cents extra because I want the meat in a box. I just went blank and didn't know what to say, do I laugh or cry?
I asked her, where does it say boxes for a PIZZA are 50 cents extra? She didn't know what to say. They can't justify it, no way. Why didn't she charge me 50 cents for the cheese pizza in the box??!!
I had the $10.00 note in my hand, and said, forget about it, I will check if I have 50 cents in the car, otherwise don't worry about it. I actually did go to the car and checked, even under the floor mats, but I had nothing on me.
What got me and I thought was ridiculous, OK, you're running a pizza business, but charging for a box? But what got me the most was, instead of saying, look don't worry about it, it's only 50 cents, but how damn tight are these people, they lost $10.00 from me instead of just 50 cents. If I had a shop I would have said forget about the 50 cents, or if I was so damn tight over 50 cents, I would have put the pizza in a paper bag and charged the $10.00 - or are paper bags extra too here??!!
Ridiculous, they just have no personality and no...

I had a terrible experience at this shop while trying to buy a simple wrap. The shop owner was holding the EFTPOS machine and covering the screen with her hand, so I couldn’t see the amount I was paying. I politely asked her to place it on the counter, but she ignored me completely and went on with other tasks without saying a word. When she finally was , she rudely asked me to move aside for another customer.
Things escalated quickly when a man behind me, who had just arrived, started threatening me simply for speaking to a woman. He became aggressive, and the shopkeeper seemed more concerned with calming him down, speaking to him in Arabic(Lebanese not sure if its a language), while I was left confused as to how the situation had escalated to that point. They continued threatening me, telling me to “watch out for the future.”
I left feeling unsafe and shocked by the hostility over such a simple request. I will never return to this shop again. The poor customer service and the threatening environment make it a...
Read moreI stumbled upon this gem only yesterday- having very recently relocated to Croydon- and instantaneously felt welcome and at home. The female owner was remarkably hospitable and very open and genuine in her approach and manner.
