The Robin Hood Hotel — Restaurant in Sydney

Used to love this place. Came in (in a facemask, signed in etc) to do trivia with some friends. Incredibly rude person at the door. Wouldn't accept my screenshot of my official vaccination status even though it was the official pdf from the medicare website, as she said I could have faked it. Told me to go home and print it out (somehow a print out can't be faked?). Wouldn't look at it, wouldn't consider it and told me that she wasn't interested in my explanation of what it was. I understand there are policies, but she kept talking over me and not letting me explain and show her the status. She was rude, demeaning and downright aggressive. I asked her if she could understand why this is frustrating, given I had entered numerous other business this way? She said that I was wrong, and that those businesses were wrong for letting me in. I said that I had gone into Service NSW this way a few days ago. She looked at me, then told me they were incorrect also and that I needed to leave and get a print out of it or get it on the mygov app. Given it's a table of ten of us who normally come to do trivia, we'll be finding somewhere else to do it now. Appalling customer service. Will never ever...

Look...I could tell you a story about Captain Nemo...a story lost in time...but...if you went into the Bronte Beach Surf Club...looked around for a older..say in his 60s...he might...just might tell you about Captain Nemo...the Robin Hood Hotel...we both had a Chargrill. Me a 300g sirloin...my Lady a 250g rump...it..they were great...although I thought the char grill lines a little to grilly. The veggies and my Mushroom sauce were fecken delish. Well be back...Any known story of Captain Nemo may not be forth coming. The Cap'n gained the name under extreme duress. We shouldn't make lite of that situation...but every real Aussie expects to go down in history by actions he's done. So tread lightly when asking at the Bar surrounded by old Salty Life Savers...even after 25 years...there are still raw nerves to be irritate...I dare you to stand at the Bar and ask...Anyone here know Captain Nemo. Errr...I hope you've got a good medical insurance plan...secure that first before looking to commit oral...

I was at a function upstairs which started at 5pm. The staff clearly were out of there depth with a Greek event of music and plates being used whilst dancing even through they had prior knowledge.

I was asked to pay for my drink then half way through it was taken.

I was then standing with my family at the booth and pushed out of the way by a female staff member and told in an abusive manner to move as our of her way. When I challenged this arrogance I was asked to leave as I was accused of putting hands on a male staff member.

After video surveillance was assessed 20 mins later I was refused entry for being intimidating. Complete change of story and they had no interest in hearing my side even through it was the truth.

My nieces engagement party was a significant celebration for us and was ruined by the staff.

I would not recommend this place for an event.

Clearly out of their depth...
