Greetings everyone, Before I proceed with my review, I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone in our group a very merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous new year. I look forward to returning next year with more reviews. This afternoon, Michelle S., Michelle C., and I enjoyed a delightful lunch at Maldini’s. The service provided today was exemplary, with the staff being both helpful and attentive. Upon our arrival, Michelle guided me through the menu, and I ultimately decided on the meat lover's pizza. This pizza featured BBQ sauce, pepperoni, ham, bacon, and cabanossi. I asked if this pizza could be turned into a calzone and our waiter David accommodated my request. The calzone proved to be an exceptional choice for any meat enthusiast. The combination of BBQ sauce, pepperoni, ham, bacon, and cabanossi resulted in a rich and satisfying flavor profile. The smoky BBQ sauce complemented the savory meats perfectly, and the dough was expertly prepared—crispy on the outside while remaining soft and chewy on the inside. I highly recommend this delectable calzone to all members of our group. Michelle S. opted for a pumpkin salad and noted that she would have preferred baby spinach in place of some of the other ingredients. Michelle C. selected a Haloumi salad and expressed her satisfaction with the dish. To conclude our meal, I indulged in a creamy flat white coffee, which was thoroughly enjoyable. We visited Maldini’s last night and unfortunately it was not the experience we had hoped. We arrived at 5.15pm as we had a show to be at by 7pm. We ordered immediately and were one of the few people in the restaurant. Almost every element of our meal was wrong. First the wrong entree was brought out (garlic pizza instead of garlic bread) and we had to ask 4 times for water. After about 40 mins we had not received our main meals while other people who arrived after us had eaten and left. We checked and it appeared our order had been lost (as they searched through the order tickets). Meals arrived almost 10 mins later and the steak was over-cooked as the order had been taken incorrectly. The steak was replaced but we had to wait another 10 minutes and eat very quickly to make our show. The owner/manager was great at fixing all the problems immediately but it meant we had to eat in a rush. We were offered a complimentary drink but we did not have time to drink them. The veal was very good and the steak was ok, but still slightly over cooked and a bit tough (not what I’d expect for an expensive steak). We paid the bill quickly and left only to notice later that we had been charged $20 for 2 soft drinks (double the price - it was half OJ and half sprite but it looks like we have been charged for one of each). My wife and I recently had the pleasure of hosting our small and intimate wedding reception at Maldini's by the River, and we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. From start to finish, the experience was seamless, personal, and truly memorable. We had a guest list of just 30 people, and the venue was the perfect size. Elegant and cosy, with a warm atmosphere and beautiful riverside views. The food was absolutely delicious and received endless compliments from our guests. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. We met with Dave, one of the owners, a couple of times in the lead-up to the big day. He was incredibly professional, friendly, and easy to talk to. Dave took the time to walk us through table and chair layouts, decoration options, and food choices. He was very accommodating with any requests we had, no matter how small, and made us feel completely at ease throughout the planning process. On the day itself, everything went so smoothly. The staff were professional, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about making our celebration special. We didn’t have to worry about a thing.
