Sadly always a bad experience when i come here. You can say well why do you return? To give them a chance to redeem themselves
Wednesday 7/5/25 i went through drivethru around 8:30pm, ordered a mega meal and extras. Was parked immediately at the next window without a hello. Waited a while for my food, about 5/6 cars left the drivethru before i was approached at the last window. I asked the person if they could wait while i check my order as i almost always have issues. Immediately opening my bag to the cheeseburger not even wrapped, chucked into the bag and half open. I passed it to the team member and asked if it was steam bun, she replied yes and i questioned why it was not in a box as thats steam bun standard, she didnt know what to tell me. She hands it back to me trying to re-wrap it, at this point she has touched the cheeseburger with her hands because it wasnt even wrapped to begin with. I go back through the drivethru and ask the cashier for the manager to which she responds that she just simply cant meet me there to go to the next window. So i do - only to be told to be parked at the next window, so already a bad start. Totally no concern for the customer. I reply with no, that im waiting there and i actually overhear the blonde female manager at this time say “okay well she will be waiting”. Great customer service.
She finally meets me and i explain that i drove back through, my burger wasnt wrapped and was falling out into my bag and that the team member had actually touched it and that its meant to be in a box as it should be steamed bun, the blonde female manager then responds to me saying that it never went through as steam bun and she would remake it. - was i not told by the team member that it was steam bun? Lies.
I ignore everything thats happened and happily agree to the burger being remade but then she tells me to pull up to the next window. At this point, ive been waiting for my food, had issues with my order and to top it off the blonde female manager couldnt be bothered to give 1 ounce of customer service to meet me at any of the windows. So i refuse to be parked AGAIN, explain i waited for my food only for it to be wrong and then to be told to park again with no genuine apology was disgusting. The blonde female manager then went back and fourth arguing that everyone else was waiting - to which i replied that i had been here first, had actually waited already and that i spent the time to come back through the drivethru only to be told everyone elses order mattered more. My food is stone cold at this point, i told the blonde female manager im waiting or id like a refund to which she jumped up, told me “fine ill give you a refund” and slammed my burger in the bin right infront of my face. The amount of time it took to argue with me - to giving me my refund - i couldve been on my way, smile on my face with the correct burger.
Is this who you hire for managers? People who dont have any decency to offer customer service or genuine common courtesy? Felt like a smack in the face as someone who constantly gives chances to this mcdonalds restraunt.
Can tell you now i will never return and neither will...
Read moreI have experienced poor service at this Macca's previously, but simply put it down to a one-off issue with some kid learning to cook. Today I went in for breakfast after my wife forgot to top up the Weet Bix and I was looking forward to a little treat. I burst into the drive through, one lane all clear... nice. Unfortunately we had a knucklehead in the other lane who was taking an excessive amount of time, like about 5 minutes of back and forth discussion. They clearly decide he was in for the long haul and have another attendant address me. Large mighty muffin meal with a coke. Reply was... "We're not doing Coke". I clarified to be told that they don't have any carbonated drinks, they're doing hot hot chocolate, coffee and milk shakes. (Sorry knucklehead, I now understand what you were obviously trying to navigate). Reluctantly, I went for the hot chocolate. No price change on the screen after hot chocolate entered... Fair enough. I drive through to the payment window and the price was higher. I asked why and was told the hot chocolate was more. I explained that I had waited a long time, only to be told no Coke and now being charged more. She went for backup... Fair enough, assuming she could not authorise. I waited another 2 minutes for the young thing to arrive. I really felt this was going nowhere with the inexperience in a position of authority. She asked what the problem was and I explained. She replied "But you're getting a hot chocolate". My reply was that "but I would like a Coke", her reply "But you're getting a hot chocolate". She clearly missed the point. Okay, yes... I'm frugal. My wife would say tightar@+, but I argued that point. It was about one dollar difference, but not the point. Good customer service and maintaining the image/reputation of the store would dictate for them... 'who cares'. Unfortunately, I told the young thing never mind. She made sure to call out the last word as I drove off. I was respectful throughout, just trying to make my point, only to be met with a brick wall, immaturity and a lack of life experience. Never again...
Read moreThis seriously used to be one of the worst Maccas in Penrith. But I've had to come back and change some old review I wrote which I've never actually done because it's had such a turn around. The store manager is a McFoodServiceDelivery Wizard. Watching him run "The Pass" on a really busy period directing staff, watching POS outlets, hurring up orders that are only secs too slow, even knowing who's been waiting longer than they should with only having glanced at the kiosks and the customers when ordering. No longer are every single order I place correct unlike pre COVID times but better construction on burgers, tight wrapping, Tetris style bag filling, fresh chips never a sweet n sour sauce or straw now forgotten...oh no. Great to see how much the team have turned it around. My only complaint is and I can't believe they didn't fix this during the Reno... But the entry door is shockingly bad. Manual push/pull very tight and stiff with fast auto Close it's just so detrimental to the experience. Watching elderly or mobility impaired struggle with it every time I'm there baffled as to why it hasn't been replaced with simple auto slide doors. Demonstrates no matter how much hard work is put into the training and upskilling of its staff. Something simple like a poorly designed front door that can totally negatively impact the customer service experience of customers. No matter how well made or packed your meals are...if you have to pile everything on one arm to then open and close the door while also juggling drinks your product has already been negatively impacted before even leaving the store...Just food for thought...
