I've been going to McDonald my whole life and not even once I had to experience what just happened tonight. I went to Mcdonald in Croydon at around 8pm, I was in a drive through, ordered 2 Mcchicken burgers, both without lettuce, 6 nuggets, 2 frozen drinks, and a medium Mcspicy meal with coke. The person who took my order had no difficulty in hearing me, in fact the voice was quite clear as compare to some other places. Luckily, I checked my order before leaving, and they gave everything else but one Mcchicken and a medium coke was missing. After informing the staff, they only gave me Mcchicken but no coke, saying that I haven't paid for it. I requested the female staff to check with a person who took my order because everything else is there from the meal but no drink, how come. She replied in such an impolite way that because you haven't paid for it, if you want drink, go back to the line. I tried explaining to her that it's just a drink and she wants me to go back to a long line for it instead of checking with her team, this young lady totally ignored what I said, and again asked me in such an impolite manner, "what do you want, go back to line," and she walked away chatting with her team, while I'm waiting there with my 2 little kids patiently. She then saw I'm still waiting and came to the window to tell me to park in a waiting bay, like seriously? just for a drink? At this point I just lost it, I gave all the food back to her, and said I'm waiting right here, can you please let me speak with your manager. Manager came and asked me about my order, I explained it and she finally gave me the coke without a question. I thanked her and said to her politely that I'll really appreciate if your staff can be a bit more respectful next time. The manager's response literally shook me, and honestly, after speaking with her, I won't be surprised why the other staff has the this attitude to treat their customers as they don't matter. Manager said "I'm being polite to you, they are kids, they gave you what they just saw on the screen and can make mistakes." I said I understand but as a customer can I not give my feedback, she goes "yes, I will talk to them but they can forget." I said yes they can totally make mistakes but I've been requesting your staff to first check with the person who took my order, as I could see from my end that it was correct on the screen, but not sure how they charged me for a meal without coke? And instead of doing that, your staff totally ignored it, rolled her eyes, and continued to drag the conversation by asking me to go back to the line etc. Manager was like "oh that's our policy." So they know their policy well, but don't know that customer expects to get a full order they have paid for and it's their staff's negligence to keep forgetting things, esp besides having plenty of them on site. Anyway, I took my food and preferred to leave rather to wasting my time explaining some people how to do their job right. The most frustrating part was, when we got home, opened the boxes, they didn't remove the lettuce from Mcchicken and gave us only 5 nuggets. Gotta check each box next time 🫡 Extremely disappointing...

What happened was, I started delivering on Uber Eats 3 days ago, and did few deliveries from other mcdonalds, where we mostly had to go to delivery area, check the number on the bag, verify on our phone show it to someone if there and leave. Walked in to croydon park maccas yesterday, roamed around to see where the delivery area was as it was my first time there, waited standing for about 2 minutes, the managers, assistant managers whoever they were and all the staffs they were free and having a chat, noone even said hello or if they could help. I saw a bag on the delivery section and went to check the number. It matched the number and was my collection, as I grabbed the bag and was verifying on my phone, this guy (probably manager or assistant) walks to me and goes “Bro, you cant just STEAL the bag like that”. Wooooh, pissed me off. I mean, how can he assume and accuse someone of STEALING. Being in that position, he should be TRAINED properly on how to speak. If he would have just told me to “verify” I would be okay, but accusing of STEALING in the first conversation??? Mcdonalds, you really need to TRAIN your staff on behaviours and morale before you promote them to the POSITION where they think they are SUPERIOR to everyone. This is totally unacceptable, I was not able to do any delivery after that as it hit me so hard. I did have a chat with him right there at that moment, but still the feeling of how he treated me and every other delivery staffs and how people look at DELIVERY STAFFS was unbearable. You know who you are and just want to remind you that, I am in HOSPITALITY sector for 7 years in Australia and your attitude for this sector is not right. Being nice to people does not cost you anything at all. All I want now is an APOLOGY from the guy and make surw he does not repeat...
Read moreWas in here a week ago and I'm sure I'll be remembered. As usual, I did the drive-thru and as usual, I was asked to park in the waiting bay. I waited 10 minutes until eventually a girl walked over, swinging the bag, to then hand it to me. Upon emptying the bag, as usual, something was missing - the McPops, which I have never tried before and didn't really know what they were.
As I walked towards the entrance I noted that the car park was strewn with rubbish and I could detect the putrid stench of the overflowing bin beside the door. The floor inside was sticky, the counter had visible dirt on it and was also covered in drink spills, and when I said I hadn't received the McPops, the girl stared at me and then got her manager.
The manager insisted she put them in the bag to which I said she didn't. She emphasised that she distinctly remembered putting them in the bag and again I told her they weren't there. I then asked her why she was accusing me of trying to steal $3 worth of a cake/biscuit/cookie (I didn't know what it was), while the other $40+ worth of food I bought was sitting in my car getting cold. I then swore at her when I asked if she was giving me what I * ordered or not, as at this stage it was clearly a stand-off and so, she chose to focus on my swear word, rather than the issue, and told me there was no need to swear. So, I asked again, using my best colourful language, at which point she picked up four of the McPops, threw them in a bag, and walked away.
Upon returning to my car, all of the other food I had ordered for my family was cold, and the McPops were almost frozen. I presume they are meant to be heated up somehow?
This place has always had its issues. And while I choose to go here instead of Five Dock, which is worse, I feel I need to give Five Dock another chance now or just keep going elsewhere.
The service and cleanliness at this restaurant...
