I’ve just driven through the McDonald’s in Saint Marys and we usually use my husband‘s seniors card to get him a small drink. The requirement has always been spend more than four or five dollars and you get a free small drink if you show a seniors card. We have been doing this for the past three years and it’s probably increased the amount we spent with McDonald’s exponentially.
It appears the manager of this franchise who owns multiple franchisees in Werrington and Penrith has decided it is no longer applicable and a senior is required to walk into the store and order in order to use a seniors card. We were told this as we came through the drive-through and they said we were not allowed to even order our food and drinks and take the receipt straight in to get the free coffee. This is so out of character for McDonald’s. Imagine the poor seniors who are accustomed to the process being required to find a carpark, get out of their vehicle some who are elderly and disabled, and go into a store and make the purchases and wait inside and collect their food.
I have given a one rating particularly for this store as I have not come across any other store who has done the same thing. Suggest you go to another McDonald’s that the owner does not own.
It’s so sad to see such a good brand and company such as McDonald’s Pennypinching on Goodwill. Too much...
Read moreThis is my local McDonald’s and I’m just going to take the drive now to one further to get my food next time. I’m sick of having to check the bag to make sure my order is fully in there because 9times out of 10 something is forgotten. Went through drive thru tonight and checked my order was shocked it was all in there to get home and realised they stuffed up the wrap that I asked for no cheese on. I know it’s not a big deal but I can not eat the cheese and had to chuck the whole wrap on the bin. Every time I get McDonald’s I find it’s just not worth it afterwoods having to call up and explain the mistakes. I’m not one to complain but it’s on going all the time. When your spending $10 on 24 nuggets and they are not in the bag it’s frustrating and I feel ripped off it’s constantly a stuff up after stuff up (this was the previous stuff up) I’m sick of it and not giving this McDonald’s another chance. I got offered a replacement wrap but I’m so angry over this I’m going back in tomorrow morning to get a refund as I won’t be back to spend another dollar at this store. The lady I spoke to on the phone tonight didn’t have time to listen to me but I highly suggest re training your staff because I’m sure I am not the only one this is...
Read moreCalled in last night 11/07/22 11.50pm ish, drive through to get some chips and nuggets for my son.
We ordered the chips without salt. After a 3/4 minute wait the order was passed to us and we drove off. As my son ate the freshly cooked hot chips he opened the nuggets to find they were LUKEWARM.
I drove back to Mc D and passed the bag back to the guy in the window... We were not happy.
The young man quickly put in a new order, then directed us to the next window.
After 5 minutes, a girl with glasses bought the order to the window, my son stated that it wasn't good to have received the previous food. I said to her that it was terrible to pass customers lukewarm food. She said it wasn't her fault, it was someone else that cooked & packed it. I told her that as she was part of the team it was also her responsibility.
Long story short, she threw her team under the bus and started arguing with me. I didn't raise my voice or yell at her and she took no responsibility for the food... She did yell at me though! I believe she needs to learn customer service skills and that the customer in this case was right.
People pay for HOT fast food not LUKEWARM!
Rubbish service, food needs to be improved! Mc Donald's not...
