In the small, sleepy town of Greendale, the arrival of a new McDonald's was meant to be a source of excitement and convenience. However, the grand opening quickly turned into a series of unfortunate events.
The problems began on the very first day. The restaurant, newly built and gleaming, had a number of technical glitches. The drive-thru speaker was so muffled that customers often had to repeat their orders multiple times, only to receive incorrect items. The fries, meant to be hot and crispy, arrived soggy and cold. The milkshakes, instead of being thick and creamy, were runny and thin.
As the days passed, the situation didn’t improve. The staff, although friendly, seemed overwhelmed and disorganized. Orders were frequently mixed up, leading to long wait times and frustrated customers. The once-enthusiastic employees seemed more interested in chatting among themselves than in helping the growing line of impatient patrons.
The interior of the restaurant, while clean, started to show signs of wear and tear much too soon. The tables and chairs began to wobble, and some of the booths had faulty lighting that flickered on and off. The self-service kiosks, which were supposed to make ordering more efficient, often malfunctioned and had to be reset by the staff, causing further delays.
One particularly busy Friday night, a large group of high school students came in to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant, already struggling with a high volume of orders, was unprepared for the sudden rush. The staff struggled to keep up, leading to orders being mixed up, and some of the food was served half-cooked or completely cold. The birthday party ended in disappointment, with several of the kids upset and their parents complaining to the manager.
To make matters worse, there were reports of cleanliness issues. A few customers reported finding bits of food and trash under the tables and in the corners of the restaurant. Although the staff tried to keep up with cleaning, the high volume of customers made it nearly impossible to maintain a spotless environment.
As weeks turned into months, the novelty of the new McDonald's wore off, and the excitement turned into frustration. The issues persisted, and the restaurant’s reputation in Greendale began to suffer. The once-enthusiastic locals began to avoid the place, opting instead for other dining options.
Eventually, the management decided to cut costs, leading to further problems. The quality of the ingredients deteriorated, and the prices were increased to compensate for the loss of revenue. The combination of poor food quality, slow service, and a lack of upkeep turned the McDonald's into a place that people reluctantly visited only out of necessity.
The restaurant, which had once promised convenience and enjoyment, became a symbol of disappointment in Greendale. It stood as a reminder that even the most familiar and beloved fast food chains can falter when not properly managed, leaving a bad taste that lingers far beyond...
Read moreThis is my local Macdonalds. They get at least one thing wrong with my order every time I go there so the one star is for consistency.
Tonight I took the time to order on the mymacca's phone app beforehand thinking I'd be straight through in 10mins, big mistake. Got hums and hahs and told by three successive people that my order hadn't come through to them yet before being shuffled onto the next along the drive-through, after reaching the manager (wait-time already 15mins) got told to 'restart' my order on the phone app so it would come through for them. After doing this, it still not working(another 10mins wait time) one of the younger attendants thought to just take my order manually. Told her that I wanted the el maco chicken and she then repeated it to me as the 'grilled' el maco chicken, I specifically called out "no I want the deep fried version please", ok ok she says, just go wait out front. After 10min wait food comes, quick surface check based on their previous track record, lo and behold no shaker fries, ended up having to go into the store anyway to get them nullifying any reasoning left to... a. order beforehand... b. go drive-through.
Got home gave my wife her burger she'd been waiting an hour for, she opened it up, it was the grilled version and NOT the fried one. Opened up my el macco fried halapeno beef burger to find about 2-3 microscopic halapeno pieces that had apparently cost me a dollar. At this point I lost my sh@t and decided this Google review was happening.
P.S. I give everywhere a couple of chances to set my expectations correctly and my last experience at this specific store was very similar. That time when I went in I said to the manager "you know EVERY time I come here you guys get something wrong with the order and I need to come inside even though I've already pre-ordered", the response was along the lines of "well mistakes happen" with a tone that said "I'm not sorry WHAT-SO-EVER".
If you're looking for somewhere that respects your business and gets your order right first time...
Read moreIf there was rating below 1 star, I would enter it!! Absolutely appalling service. I waited about 30 minutes for one drink. Firstly, i waited 10 minutes AFTER recieving my food to learn that somebody else received my drink, and returned it after he drank it. They remade his drink and gave it to him. I waited another 10 minutes before mine came out, and it was the most bitter drink I have ever had. I went inside to ask for a remake, and the manager did not approach me at all (stood next to french fries machine expecting me to yell across the store). After some back and forth she snatches the drink from my hands and goes to back into the kitchen. After another 15 minutes, I receive a drink which is HALF FULL, below the center line!! When I asked the casual employee about it, she says that they have remade my drink 3 times (not true, i never received the first drink) and that i won't get another one. I show her my current drink AGAIN and she doesn't grasp the idea that a half full drink is not what I paid for! Eventually she squares up to me, scoffs, rolls her eyes and walks away. The manager comes over, and I am exhausted so I ask for a refund. I put the drink on the counter to get my card out for the refund, and my phone to take a photo of my half full drink. As soon as she sees my phone, she takes the drink off the counter and out of sight so that I cannot take a photo of it. This is THE WORST service I have ever experienced and NEEDS NEW MANAGEMENT,...
