Sometimes you can just tell when food is authentic, when it's the real deal...and at dosa house it's just delicious. The idli's are so soft and fluffy. The dosa's are the perfect consistency, paper thin if that's what you want. The masala in the dosa's we ordered have just the right amount of chilli. The was even a uniqueness to the serving manner of the filter coffee, upside down😁👍. When we came for the first time we were given a bowl decorated, (a traditional bowl I believe), to celebrate dosa house success from the last ten years, just goes on to highlight if a business still thrives after ten years there is truly some magic to it. To add on, with such reasonable prices, whenever you are looking for traditional and healthier food than that in Westfield, this is the perfect...

Rather cook at home using a ready to make MTR or GITS packet. Too little quantity of coconut chutney that too diluted with so much water that it looked like a lite lassi. Sambar too very very watery and exxxtremely spicy even for someone like me who had high tolerance to hot indian cusine. Poor presentation of food with sambar carelessly splashed onto the dosas and idlis making them all soggy. Bluntly refused to give (sell) dry coconut chutney we requested. Felt like cheap roadside take away food place. Flavour too was as expected from a non-professional chef. Poor customer experience.

This was from a few months ago when i visited Waitara. Google maps sent me a request to review places I visited and saw Dosa House in the list reminding me of the overall...

Have noticed DH before as we frequently stay nearby when visiting family/grandchildren and I've always wanted to eat there. On Saturday evening I had my chance & bought takeaway dosa & eating them was well beyond my dreams. The lady who made them was very helpful explaining about crispiness & so generous telling me about the fillings, and what spices etc.were included, which was absolutely excellent. As we have Indian family members I am not unfamiliar with dosa but often when eating out they have chosen for me. So this time thanks to the chef my choices were great. I'll go back there next time & happily take friends & my grandchildren as well I'd highly reccomend eating here BTW value for money is...

Quaint homely place, lovely couple, disposable plates and cutlery, (South Indian) food always made fresh and with love! I have been to this place a few times and tried dosa, vada, idli, coffee. Everything is really good. (Coffee is just OK and too weak to be a south indian filter coffee) Happy Soul, Happy Tummy! After having this freshly steamed idli (lentil+rice dumpling) Returned many times but this one time is special mention coz my work kept me so busy and when it was lunchtime and I got hungry, I only had to walk upto Dosa House to get this yummy Kal Dosa (thick fluffy dosa) with chutney and sambar. Thank you to the kind lady for simple homemade style food

It is located on the Pacific Highway next to the Waitara train station. It's a South Indian restaurant with a variety of different dosa, idli, vada , and utthapam, all served with sambar & different flavour chutneys. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The service is fantastic, and the atmosphere is great. If you are looking for an authentic South Indian food, please visit this place. You won't be disappointed. The owner, Jeyanthi aunty, is one of the nicest people I know, and all the food is cooked with love and passion, which is why it's always tasty.

A no frills restaurant offering delicious South Indian breakfast dishes. We ordered the podi masala dosai, onion uthappam and urid vadai. They prepared all the dishes fresh, including the vadai. So, it took a few minutes for the food to arrive but was worth the wait. The podi masala dosa with the sambar and chutneys was specially tasty! The owner was friendly and polite. They gave us a small stainless steel plate as a gift to celebrate 17 years of the restaurant. Happy to have found an authentic South Indian spot for brunch.
