After making my lifestyle choice to always try the best foods and the best restaurants in an area I'm in, to expand my knowledge of food and culture and to not waste any money eating at the same restaurants again and again. I've come once full circle to try Maccas because I was craving it. I use to always get Maccas since I was a child and I come to Maccas Lansvale whenever I crave it on a full moon. Now I realise why people don't consider Maccas 'real food'.
Service: 2 / 5 stars Vibe: 2.5 / 5 stars Food: 1.5 / 5 stars
Going into a fast food restaurant like KFC, Hungry Jacks and Maccas, I gotta acknowledge that the service is going to be questionable with underpaid teenagers who were never trained how to give good service such as smiling or being accountable for mistakes. I've had some orders wrong in the past and complained but they gave me the biggest attitude like I was on the wrong. Seems like Maccas has spent all their effort into marketting their food to make it look great instead of the expected good service and presentation of food. Their Big Mac is literally just slapped on, on top of each other. As I child, I use to love it but after trying the best burgers in Sydney, it made me wanna vomit. They don't even toast their buns.
So why the two stars? Chicken nuggets are literally the saviour. I always come here for the chicken nuggets with the sweet and sour sauce combo and the efficiency is top notch. I recieve my food in almost no time. But I would be happy to sacrifice some efficiency with more quality food. Some staff are lovely but it's only very rare. Most of them are teenagers with a monotone voice.
I am never going to Maccas again unless it's for the chicken nuggets. This is the only Maccas chain I'm going to review. If you love the Big Mac, consider switching up and trying other better burgers such as Betty's Burgers, The Gidley Burger, BL Burger before you judge the Big Mac as a...
Read moreMain reason for poor rating is the silly drive thru procedure, the staff have no idea about how to position cars and when to send someone to the waiting bay. If u send me to the waiting bay, the staff should not be walking out, immediately after parking, with my order. If it was that quick, let me wait at the window. But this store does something even more unbelievable...everytime I order here, they ask you to move forward to the end of a railing to receive your order there. This boggles my mind as to how this streamlines the process. First of all, when the person moves to that spot, there are two waiting bays beside them which become obsolete. Second, the car behind can't move up to the window because there's not enough room, so why move forward in the first place. Third, 9 times out of 10, as soon as the person moves forward, the same staff member who told you to move forward, walks out with your order. Why are we doing this silly charade?? Macca's please train your staff, it's not just this location in regards to sending people to the waiting bay, only to receive their order within a second of parking. Although, this location is the only one that sends it customers to a handrail...
Read moreOk- I needed to edit this, half of the serving crews at this place, not only giving the bad facial impression( ALL COMING DOWN TO THE MANAGEMENT right?) Atleast have the decency to pack properly, I even remind them "please make sure to put syrup and butter for the hotcake, (because I usually order for whole family, that's why sometime I feel bad if I hold up the drive-thru, asked them if everything in there, "yeah..yeah" the person replied me. Went home, again, bot even 1 butter. The person manage these crews doesn't even know how to lead/train them sonthey can show a little respect and providing(atleast) 'OK' service. I'm not saying all of them because there are 1 or 2 people here they are so so sweet and have a respectful manner. I used to really admire these young crews serving at maccas because in this steady fast pace, almost busy all the time and off cause serving a range of diverse backgrounds customer will teach them to be patient, having the knowledge to deal with fussy hungry customer(s) in a respected manner which will give them an outstanding skill in customer service. I guess the $$ coming in is the only...
