Wow I can't help but read other complaints recently.... THIS MACCAS HAS PLUMMETED BIG TIME. Read one comment saying lady at drive thru was rude. I say tonight there were 3 girls who were rude, selfish or ignorant or arrogant. They know NOTHING about customer service. And not worth even being a waitress at ANY restaurants. Haven't been back there in a while. I have to admit that I can't be more disappointed spending almost $40 for such crappy meals and drinks.
Biscoff coffee was supposed to be a frappe they gave me an iced biscoff. And not only that, in addition why isn't the cup FULL?? In the photo I just stuck a straw in but you can see the tip of the straw hasn't been touched or wet. Means my mouth or lips never touched it, just to assure you I'm not making things up. (Look in photo)
Service in drive thru was ridiculous. The staffs before were better by millions. And that's just drive thru.. After I paid and the girl at the drive thru window never said "thank you" or "have a good night" Instead after I paid, she turned to her side and tried talking to the next customer waiting at the drive thru speakers where people order. Now with maccas I know the best one to go to but pity it's quite far from my home. But ALL maccas in general needs to improve in customer service. Orange Grove Road one is ok, varies and changes all the time. But for the drink, it's abit of biscoff on the underneath and more milk and foam on top?? Like, seriously??? I asked the indian lady staff member where I collected the order "is that normal?" And she goes "yes". And to my shock, I CANNOT believe it I had a biscoff coffee frappe earlier while I was at work and they filled the WHOLE THING. How can this maccas serve this rubbish? My biscoff drink only just over half a cup for a LARGE size..... seriously?? What a rip off!!! And as I've said I just stuck the straw in. Straw hasn't been touched and you can see the straw is STILL dry so don't even think about lying to me and telling me I made up a complaint. I'm a PAYING CUSTOMER and I spent almost $40 worth of crappy meals. Burgers were too dry Chips cold I had to re heat them when I got home. Absolute downfall BIG TIME about this maccas IF STILL NO IMPROVEMENT SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN. NOW I CAN SEE WHY PEOPLE GO TO GYG INSTEAD. Which is next door to the maccas. Saw maccas side was quiet when I came in, saw GYG surprisingly busy and had cars lining up. I haven't tried GYG yet, but for Mexican I had Zambrero just further up the road where HJ is....and it's quite nice. I think McDonald's both on Hume Highway (one opposite rashays and old RTA building, both should shut down. The other maccas on Hume highway is ridiculous too. AND VERY SLOW last time I was there cars were honking and honking at the drive thru. That time I almost waited 45 minutes I was about to ask for refund. And I didn't. Got the meals, and it was terrible too. Should've went for the refund, stupid me. But I didn't know the food was gonna be good or bad unless I tried.so I...
Read moreThis could a bit long winded but it is important. I have a medical condition... is it a disability? I don't know. It is certainly debilitating. If I eat certain foods my body starts self destructing and destroying itself. We are all humans here with the same bodily functions so please excuse me when I use the phrase "through the eye of a needle", pain, suffering, unpleasantness, leakage, look you get the idea. I order without a bun. I have no choice in this. It is this or I don't eat a burger (or very much at McDonalds). At pretty much every McDonald's in Australia, I am sorry to say there must be no system in place for people who have my condition or similar. I don't get a discount for ordering without a bun and that is fine. McDonald's has every right to exploit my disability and keep the extra profit for their corporate good. Hey that's business. At least I am not tied to the porcelain for the next few days. My experience in America was they wrap your bun free burger in a lettuce leaf and that's unreal but this is Australia and corporations here can do this sort of thing. I get it, this is not a one star review THE ISSUE IS: I am absolutely sick of loosing my cheese. This may not sound like much but consider I have already lost the bun. At pretty much every McDonalds I have stopped at regularly, they seem to find it amusing to put the cheese in the box first. Now this may not seem like much of an issue, but put a nice hot meat paddy on top and the cheese melts to the box like hot glue to toilet paper. I mean what do you think is going to happen?????? I have to go back, complain, sook whinge and wine and get my order re made or more often just accept the loss of the cheese with the bun. WHY? I don't know, but it happens all the time. SO this place gets it right. I stop here most mornings for breakfast, and for whatever reason, my cheese is never glued to the box. I loose the muffin still and I accept that, but I get to keep the cheese. It may not seem like a big deal to the reader but it is to me so..... 5...
Read moreI understand that the crew are busy and very likely exhausted, trust me I know because I work in fast food too. I also know that mix ups happen, but this level of customer service incompetence is just insane. I ordered my food at the drive through, and we were told to go to waiting bag which is absolutely fine (keep the timer down, I know), but the waiting bay was already too full for our car to fit. Not without risking someone crashing into us (since it was around a corner with absolutely no room for an oncoming vehicle).
Still fine, so we park in the parking bay and I go inside myself to inform them that I was there for my order. A tall guy came over (looked like he primarily worked in the back) I told him what happened. That we couldn’t fit in the parking bay, but that it was no problem and I was there for my order. He said ‘okay’ then walked away. He didn’t inform anyone else of what I said - not the front crew or anyone that would be in charge of that. Then, the girl went passed with my order and came back to tell the manager that she couldn’t find us. I inform another boy (this one was younger and looked relatively new, so I don’t really blame him). I also pointed to the girl and said it think that’s my order’. He said ‘okay’, then ignored me and proceeded to wait for another customer to come up. The girl went right passed me with the order, I tried to speak to her, but she completely ignored me. Maybe she didn’t see me? Idk, but I was right in front of her. She literally had to walk around me while I was trying to speak.
Finally I got to ask her again when she went back around, and this time I got my order from her. Seriously guys. This was just a disaster, and more importantly, a complete failure of communication. I can handle almost anything, it’s fast food after all not a five star restaurant, but this was just beyond belief. It shouldn’t have been that hard to get my order.
I hope this improves in the future, and I’m sorry for giving this rating. I’m sure everyone was just having an off...
