Moorebank Hotel — Restaurant in Sydney

Clean and nicely decorated. It was a quiet afternoon, however, service was strange; I went to order and was told that someone else would serve me. Once I ordered, I was told to come back in 5 minutes because someone else would deal with the payment. I asked if I needed a buzzer, as is customary, and the person was really confused and handed me one reluctantly. When I returned 5 minutes later, the new person serving me had no prior knowledge of this interaction. I had to order, pay and get a new buzzer. To be clear, everyone was nice, it was just bizarre.

Food came very quickly. The pizza dough was really good. I ordered the Spicy BBQ Chicken pizza and I think they forgot to put a base sauce as it didn’t match the pictures and was incredibly bland and unseasoned. Was sadly kicked out of the restaurant due their being no over 25 year olds but since our party had two over 18 year olds and two 16 years olds, they asked us to leave due some Legislative Act they couldn't provide information about. There was no signage about this law that we could see however. We've been here in the past and had a great experience and was sad when we were kicked out. We did receive a refund for our order, I was a bit suspicious when no one actually told us about this rule right until we sat down and began to enjoy ourselves since there were plenty of opportunities to tell us this information such as when we ordered our meals and the lady clearly observed that there was only the 4 of us. We had no alcoholic drinks with us and was funny to observe the fact that there was families with children who were ordering copious amounts of alcohol. Honestly seems like a case of...

While the reviews on Google for this look overwhelmingly positive, quite a few of the reviews regarding the food are negative. So if I do get salmonella from this chicken, I will be contacting fellow reviewers and lodging a bulk food safety complaint to Service NSW. Thank you for ensuring I never bring my family here again.
