The BNK Cafe Restaurant — Restaurant in Sydney

Ever since this restaurant has changed ownership it has gone downhill and I will never be returning. Myself and my sisters came here a couple weeks ago for lunch. I will admit the food was good, my sister saw a hair in her food as she was eating. She didn’t care at first, took it out and put it the side and we continued eating. We then saw another hair in my plate the second time and approached the lady. They were understanding about the situation and said they will take the food off the bill. We didn’t inform them for them to give us a “discount” we told them so they are aware for future customers. I returned back here on Thursday (06/03) to get my morning coffee, the lady that dealt with our situation on the day saw me at the front while I was being served. She asked me “were you the one who had the issue with your food last week” I said yes and she turned to her boss and said “that’s her”. The owner then said to me “you do know we have CCTV footage and saw that you put your own hair in your food” I replied to him and said “are you accusing us for putting our hair in OUR own food?” And he replied saying “it’s what I saw if it happens again you’re not welcome” and walked off. As a business owner this is absolutely upright appalling. The confidence to approach your returning costumers of an issue that YOU did is disgusting. I been buying coffee for a little while of this place actually I buy from a few locals in the area. This time we sat inside and had coffee we were charged more to sit and have coffee. This business is the only business in the area that charges extra, I have had coffee in the other businesses including not charged extra. Also the tall guy seems like the owner. I find him rude and very unapproachable and he seems very cranky all the time. I will not be back again as there are business in the area that appreciate the business and are more pleasant to deal with and also welcoming. I find that being not competitive and also unapproachable will stop people coming. If I could I would give you 0 but my experience from my last visit has done it for me not to come back. All the best hope you take the feedback and improve your service and price fairness.
