The restaurant needs a sign oustide that says "No respect for returning local customers, especially the ones that ocassionally give feedback, no infants allowed"

Editing my original 5 star review after the horrendous experience tonight. I pre-arranged a dinner booking for my elderly father-in-law's birthday tonight and even dropped off a cake so we can surprise him. When the 6 of us arrived, the restaurant was not that busy, I could not see the usual staff and the two waitstaff scrambling to take orders, attend to Uber deliveries etc.

We had to chase down the male waiter to place the order. The other female waiter would not look at us 'cos she would then need to attend to us. Most of the food was below average, not the usual standard we expect from this local gem. I called for the owner to give some feedback which he took very courteously and apologised sating it was really busy and they were shortstaffed. Fair enough, I get it, it happens. Befire the male waiter brought out the cake, I aske for the table to be cleaned. The male only cleans the section in front of my father in law and walks off leaving dirty plates and scraps of food across the rest of the table. At this point, I was already over it and did not say anything.

Already disappointed with the experience, I get to the main counter to pay where I was asked by the male waiter how everything was to which I replied it wasn't great and I already shared my concerns with the owner and walked out.

As I was walking to the car, the owner comes and running out and asked to speak to me. Asked me if I was okay and I said no, because the whole birthday celebration was spoilt by the poor service and a here comes the shock response - " I do not appreciate how you left the floor around where your baby(12 months) was sitting and you should clean up after your kid as you are the parent. (Wtf? TBH, it wasnt even that messy except a few scraps of tissue paper and some baby food crackers). He was adamant that he never saw anyone leave the restaurant floor this messy. After a brief argument, I found out the waiter/waitress who gave us the poor service was one of his family members, who must have gone and had a whinge. As most of what I said was true, the owner decided to pick on my 1 year old. 'Nuff said.

Obviously, I will not be going back. Nor will any of my many friends and extended family members who live locally. All of them to whom I once highly recommended the place.

Whilst I share this feedback, but in the hope that it will help foster a more positive atmosphere for your customers and team. Your passion for your business is evident, and addressing these concerns can only strengthen the success of...

We had a joint anniversary and had the pleasure of sharing the momentous occasions with 20 family members. There was a booking made in advance and we had arrived on time for our selected time. We waited more than 20 minutes before a waiter came over to give us menus and then another 10 minutes before table water was provided. My Family and I ordered our food and waited 70 minutes before we requested an update from the kitchen as we had not received our meals to which we were told it was coming now. A further 20 minutes passed and meals arrived but were incorrect and the waiter was confused and placing plates down in the incorrect order. Meals were left out and when we requested to cancel them as too much time had passed we were forced by the service team to wait "a few minutes longer" as they were about to start on them now. The seafood platters were 70% hot chips, rubbery seafood was scarce and inedible - not to mention there was no salt and pepper squid as mentioned on the menu. The pasta serving sizes are small and had no flavour or depth in the sauces. The pizzas were below average and would not recommend unless you want a base that is 3cm thick and undercooked. A pub feed for $10 could have given this place a run for their money. What added to the downslide was the poor customer service of the waitstaff and front of house server. When these matters were addressed with discretion, away from the ears of fellow diners and incoming customers, I was served with a cold "there is nothing I can do about it". I wasnt able to finish my sentences before rudely being shut down with repeated phrases of "but the food was brough out, but the food was brought out". There was no sympathy shown for the delays or the lack of quality. There was no apology and no compensation or acts of goodwill - instead, I was given the side eye and brushed off with no consideration at all to the horrific night we had all just endured. Then to add salt into the wounds the Head of service followed me back to my table and waited with the bill waiting for payment - what an insult to think we would just walk out, past the register and not pay for our $700 odd bill. Absolutely appalled and will never dine here again. Shame on the Team and...

I went as a table of 2 for dinner.

The starters (garlic crust and a beetroot and sweet potato salad) were quite good, tasty and very reasonably priced for the size. The mains were ok - I found my risotto to be decently sized but quite bland (more on that below).

My issue with this establishment was the service (or almost complete lack thereof). The menus and ability to order came pretty quickly, with the first starter arriving about 10 or so minutes after ordering. After that, nothing for almost an hour and 15 minutes. No communication from the waitstaff, nothing. We overheard someone at the table behind us commenting to the waiter that we didn't appear to have received our food, which may have suggested to the waiter that we had been waiting for quite some time, but no checks were made.

After finally asking where our meals were at, the waiter went to check, with our meals arriving about 5 minutes later. Given how quickly our meals arrived after my enquiry and how my risotto was, I would guess that it had either been very quickly put together or left in the kitchen for an extended period of time.

Despite the huge delays, there was nothing from the staff to recognise the delay apart from a brief apology about the wait. We noted that another table's customers appeared to be getting quite irate about the length of time they were taking to be served, so our circumstances did not appear to be an isolated occurrence.

The pizzas looked quite good so this place might be quite good for takeaways, but as a dine in experience I do not...

We stopped in on a whim and even though I was not appropriately dressed to go out and the restaurant was already kind of busy the staff quickly set us up a little table outside. Our lovely waitress explained the wine list and I really liked the way it was in order of sweet to dry instead of price like most places. Any time a course was finished the plate was cleared and the ambiance was warm and welcoming. 5 stars for the service alone. I highly recommend the aranchini balls. Super stretchy, oozie, crunchy and nestled in the most delicious tomato sauce. The veal saltimbocca was very generous in size and the cannelloni was ok but outshone by the fantastic dessert cocktails. Overall it's a really nice little local restaurant and I look forward to dining here again soon.

I went for a Girl's Night. They were attentive but didn't also interrupt inappropriately. Really listened to our needs with any modifications (99% of dishes can be modified) and the flavours were out of this world. Make sure you also save room for dessert. We had a mixture on our table and all well received. Don't believe this is just a suburban Italian. It's a fabulous restaurant on your doorstop. Seafood Mariana pictured.

What a great Mother's Day celebration at Nunzios. From the cocktails to the desserts it was a lavish meal of exquisite flavours and aromas The staff were exceptional with their service and made our guest of honour- mum - feel very special They were very good humoured, always ready for a laugh and nothing was too much trouble. We even got to meet Nunzio himself for that personal touch. Highly recommended. Cheers Johnny D
