Piccola baia — Restaurant in Sydney

I attended this cafe Tuesday afternoon shortly before closing time. I had a coffee and a lemonade. Because I had a dog on my lap, and dogs aren't allowed indoors, I gave my card to my companion to tap and go. On Wednesday afternoon happenstance meant that I was once again back at this cafe shortly before closing time. The staff member who served us on the Wednesday accused me of leaving on the Tuesday afternoon without paying. He did this with gusto and a high degree of confidence. I agreed to check whether I had in fact paid on the Tuesday afternoon. Mistakes do happen. I opened my banking app and sure enough there was a charge for $9.50. I had in fact paid on the Tuesday afternoon. I showed the staff member the transaction on my banking app. He did say something to the effect of "Thanks for checking" but never took the extra step of actually apologising for the error. I found this to be quite rude given the nature of the accusation. I emailed a complaint directly to the cafe yesterday via the email on their website and received no response. I used to like this restaurant. I like to visit from time to time but it has disappointed me too many times now. The steak sandwich was terrible today. Small pieces of steak in a wet stir fry of onions and Capsicum with American sliced cheese and low quality wet Ciabatta. Not worthy of a photo.

I cannot reply so I will edit. I ordered the steak sandwich which I had in the past and was very happy with it. I ordered without reading the menu. My problem with the quality of the bread and meat is not with the baker as it was presented soggy from the stir fry of veg. The meat was thinly chopped no more than 50g of meat. No question of quality. I have returned previously ordered dishes in the past. The crab pasta for swimming in oil to be disappointed with the replacement. Today I leave my review. Terrible service, went for a quick evening drink and something to nibble.on, ordered two drinks and bruscetta, 25 mins later and still nothing has arrived, asked a waiter to check up he never came back so went inside and asked him if he checked, he said he didn't, he came back to our table and asked if we got our drinks, I said we have got nothing, he said he would go and check again, but we told him not to bother we are leaving, also told him how bad the service was....not a complex order 2 drinks and a couple of slices of bruscetta, the place was not busy even overheard one of the staff talking about how unorganised everything was.......if they can't get a simple order to the table in a reasonable amount of time then it's never...
