Piccolo Me WSU Kingswood — Restaurant in Sydney

I keep coming here while at uni because all the good reviews made me want to try it, and I’m still hoping I’ll eventually have a good experience or maybe it’s just a matter of personal taste. I usually go to the one at the Parramatta campus, where I always get the best customer service and the yummiest drinks, so I don’t think it’s me.

Whenever I come here though, I feel extremely judged both by whoever’s serving me and whoever’s making the drinks. It’s like I’m being judged twice, just for ordering something they wouldn’t choose themselves or ...?

As for the drinks, I haven’t yet had one I didn’t end up throwing out. The matcha, mocha and chai are all really thick, overly sweet, and a bit sickly. Even when I try ordering different drinks, they’re still far too sweet even when adjusting the sugar. I want to keep giving it a chance because I’m here every week, but maybe I’ll just stick to the Parramatta campus store.

I know the drinks might just not be to my taste, but I think the negative service has been the biggest factor and it's always the same workers. Either way, I wish them all the best no judgement from...

Edit: Clean food. Convenient and fast service from friendly staff. If you go around last few hours, maybe they offer you some good deals. (I got a free muffin). Make sure to clearly ask for the amount of sugar you want when you order a coffee. They never asked me, and I always forget to mention and always end up with no sugar coffees.

I gave a really bad review earlier because they charged the standard value for advertised happy hour deal and I felt like cheated. But the owner was responsible enough to respond, accept and pointed out it might be human error. Considering the possibility, I have nothing to complain. Previous: False advertising. If you advertise happy hour deals just give them instead of charging...

Best coffee on campus... really like the peeps that work here - friendly and always doing their best to help out. Love that this is located next to the library... awesome to sit outside and enjoy the weather or inside and chill - it is an awesome library. The coffee based milks are all very good - but the long blacks don’t quite get there! But overall, really like this...
