My wife and I are regular customers of this café. We have ordered dozens of times via Uber Eats. take-away and dine-in.
The coffee here is lovely. My wife believes that their coffee is always perfect. In my experience I would suggest that their coffee varies in quality between 6-9 out of ten.
The food here is splendid. I have ordered many of their deserts such as the 'Cronut', Vanilla slice and pancakes. My most common orders are comprised of their Big Breakfast and their brekkie burger. I have also ordered their burgers and fries.
As far as food goes, their ingredients taste fresh, delicious and their portions and more than satisfactory. When delivering; their servings are packaged thoughtfully and carefully for the delivery partner. For instance, pancakes come with ice-cream or other runny toppings in a separate container.
When dining in, the café is clean and plays music at the upper end of a what I would call a 'reasonable volume'. The atmosphere of the café is what I would describe as lively and energetic with lots of natural light. This provides a cheerful vibe to start your weekend. The design is modern but not 'clinical' and uninviting. Seating is balanced with solid chairs and 'cushy' benches.
The menu is well laid out with some just enough creativity for menu items to appear interesting but not 'risky'.
For the quality of food delivered; the speed of preparation is decent with an average wait time of about 2-5 minutes for coffee and 10-20 minutes for food depending on how busy they are.
When ordering for delivery; the wait times tend to be closer to 20-30 minutes (without delivery travel time).
The thing which I find most appealing about Caffe & Co. is the customer service. The staff are friendly and would make even the shyest patron feel welcomed and well cared for. They are attentive and light-hearted.
Last weekend, my wife's coffee lacked the requested syrup; and the staff insisted on making her a fresh coffee rather than just adding the syrup as we suggested.
A few weeks ago, my wife dropped her coffee on her way to the car. When the staff found out they happily made a her a new coffee and refused to let her pay again.
Even when it comes to dealing with customers who they don't see face-to-face. I have also made some pretty fussy requests about omitting and swapping certain items in the big breakfast while ordering via Uber Eats. Caffe & Co. complied and provided a generous portion of the preferred item.
The thing that I like most about Caffe and Co. are the people who work there. The staff are kind and will make you smile. I'm kind of a grumpy critic but I always leave that place feeling better than when...
Read moreAfter ordering 6 items which included 2 breakfast dishes, a main and 3 drinks. We waited 30 mins without making a fuss because it was busy. In that time we watched at least 5 tables that ordered more and came in after us, come and go. When I asked if we were forgotten about? I got the main. Finished the main and had to ask for the drinks. They bought out 2. Finished the drinks, 5 mins later had to ask for the other drink and reminder of the 2 remaining dishes. 5 mins later get a drink, 5 mins later get the crepes. So I’m thinking ok pancakes aren’t too far off. Waited another 15 mins no pancakes. Go to the counter and ask the guy who knew id been sitting outside a long time and trying not to agitated about waiting so long and having to ask for every single thing I ordered one at a time. Turns out they hadn’t even started making the pancakes. Which I now assume was the case for every item I had ordered. The guy did give me my $20 back for the pancakes so it cost me $75 all up. It may be a drop in the ocean to them but to me it was a lot of money to spend on a treat for my 2 boys for working so hard over the weekend. It just spoiled the experience for me and my boys. I felt like we were being treated like we didn’t even exist even though we were by far not the most difficult and demanding customers in there at the time. Maybe next time I walk in there I should just act like an arrogant demanding prick! At least I’d get my...
Read moreI went here recently for lunch. We ordered: Excuse My French (GF) Shakshuka with Mushrooms Nourish Bowl Banana Classic Smoothie Pick Me Up Juice Fresh OJ Coffees
The service was great and the food is always so well presented. We actually received two of the pick me up juices instead of one OJ but it was quite nice so I just drank it anyway. My Dad loved the nourish Bowl, the dressing wasn't to his liking but he said he didn't need it, everything else was so good. My mum had never had Shakshuka before and she really liked it, especially with the toast to dip in to the sauce. I've had the french toast a few times before and always loved it, unfortunately this time it was a little disappointing, the GF toast tasted stale, it was dry and crumbly and not very palatable. There wasn't as much fruit on the dish as usual and instead of the ice cream that it was meant to come with it came with some kind of maybe sorbet, but it was a strange texture and I didn't eat it. It's such a shame as I've always loved this dish in the past. The coffees were great as always!
