Portico Chicken — Restaurant in Sydney

I was there yesterday with my family. We are supposed to order a large chips. The asian lady was really nice at the counter. When I asked for the price of the chips, the guy behind the counter interrupted rudely moving the empty chips boxes near my face pointing at the price and said, "that's the sizes, the prices are in there, wakey, wakey".. I said sorry. My partner heard everything and asked why he is being so arrogant. He said, "I am saying that to her, not you". (Hello.. we came together. She is obviously with me). Thank you for ruinung our afternoon! We just walked off refusing to hear his excuses. I told the story to my friend who lives closeby and she said. "Oh yeah. That guy is really arrogant. I had a bad experience with him when I bought chicken last time". So if the owner of Portico Chicken is reading this review, I suggest to put the prices on all sides of the chips boxes so the customer won't ask for the price from the counter where you couldn't see it cause it is on the other side. Not buying from this...

We've come before because we enjoy the food and staff have been friendly but after today we will never be back. The younger man who was working at the counter was handling food, money and packaging food orders. He was coughing everywhere without covering his mouth (you should not be coming to work with a cough either way when handling peoples food). He was also wiping his nose to stop it running but then went on to continue handling food, money and no washing or sanitizing hands in between. There was also no gloves used in the process either. To top it off, he then was playing on his phone at the counter, coughing onto containers then handling food again. In disbelief, i made a comment to him regarding this which he seemed uninterested in. Due to this poor hygiene we will NEVER be back. It is unfortunate as the food was great here. Very sad that one careless worker...

3 stars because you lied to my face :)

When I come to your shop to enjoy a delicious roast pork roll I expect the quality and taste not to change. Usually it’s made by the young Chinese guy...most delicious flavoursome roll I’ve had! But tonight..nope..you let that bigger boned white bloke make my roll..and not only was it boring and lacking flavour..but he lied! I asked at the counter if there was any crackling on the bloody roll and you asked him if he put on any and his response was “yeah a little bit”..except I watched him just chuck nothing but pork on there in a rush...why ruin the quality of something people enjoy so much? Don’t let the bloke make roast pork...
