I recently ordered from Red Galangal in North Kellyville via Uber Eats. There was a small mix-up with the meal completely understandable, as I had selected an item very similar to another which understandably led to a bit of confusion in the kitchen.
I called the restaurant to clarify and I was truly impressed by the response. Anya, who attended the phone, was incredibly kind, polite, and professional. She took full responsibility and without hesitation, offered to personally remake the correct dish and deliver it herself. That kind of service is rare these days.
What happened next was something I’ll never forget. When Anya arrived at my house, she unfortunately slipped on the driveway and fell hard. As I came outside, I found her on the ground crying not for herself, but because she was genuinely upset that she had dropped the meal. Even in that painful moment, she was apologising over and over about the food. It broke my heart to see someone so caring and dedicated suffering like that just to fix a simple order mistake.
Thankfully, the meal was still intact despite the fall, and my son got to enjoy a beautifully made delicious dish exactly what we were hoping for. The food was fantastic, but more than that, the heart and soul behind the service left a lasting impression on me.
Anya’s kindness and selflessness reminded me that there are still genuinely good people in the world who care deeply about their work and their customers. I’ll always order from Red Galangal, not just for the great food, but because of people like Anya who embody the true spirit of hospitality.

Read moreVery bad customer service. Me , my husband and my 3 kids went last night at 9.15pm for dine in. The girl who was in reception first said sit down and then she came back and said we are closing kitchen soon, so only take away. We said Google shows it closes at 10pm. But she repeated the same thing, my husband said even for take away you need kitchen then she said we don't have to wash the dishes. The worker said we will give you cutlery.
we left the store and went to Stanhope Oporto and ate there. I was very disappointed and called the store at 9.53pm and still the girls are answering store phone and apologising that they are open only till 9.30pm, but Google shows that they close everyday at 10 pm and I asked her she said Monday timing are different. I asked the owner number and they said they will not provide, I gave her my number to ask owner to call me. I haven't heard any phone call from owner.

We paid the bill but not happy with the experience I called them to pass on the feedback that they should inform customers upfront about surcharges or display on the menu or a sign. Informing the customer when the bill was being paid was too late.
Unfortunately the tone of the staff completely changed and she said I should have known there was surcharge and surprised I could not afford to pay this when other customers happily paid. I politely tried to tell her that it was not about affordability but informing the customer upfront so customer had a choice. At this she became even more defensive and said they were busy and I should've known and expected a surcharge. She said I should leave a Google review and just hung up on me
After such a bad experience for what is overpriced food, I won't be visiting...
