Seven 2 Three Specialty Coffee — Restaurant in Sydney

This used to be a really nice spot for pure matcha, but unfortunately the vibe has really changed. A newer barista, Jason, was surprisingly rude during my visit. I asked for matcha with no sugar-something I’ve ordered a few times before- but when it was served with sugar and I mentioned it (politely), he reacted with hostility. He snapped, glared, and didn’t offer a refund or solution.

I said, “I don’t want to drink sugar,” and placed the drink on the counter, hoping to communicate that I couldn't have it and needed a refund. Thankfully, he did process a refund, but the interaction felt really uncomfortable. This all happened on my birthday, which made it feel even more disappointing- I was genuinely trying to enjoy the day and bring positive energy.

I even returned this weekend to buy a coffee and try to clear the air. But he just said he didn’t care and criticised me for how I had left the cup. At that point, I realised I’d rather just take my business elsewhere.

There are so many lovely cafes in the area with kind staff and a great vibe-places that understand why people come in- not just for drinks, but for a relaxing atmosphere. I can make my own matcha at home, but I go out for the experience. Sadly, this place just doesn’t offer...

I’m currently enrolled in the barista course at Seven 2 Three Coffee, and it’s been an incredible journey so far. The curriculum focuses heavily on espresso extraction, latte art, and the unique coffee culture in Australia, which I find fascinating.

The instructors are passionate and knowledgeable, providing in-depth insights into the espresso-making process. Each class combines theory with hands-on practice, allowing me to develop my skills in extracting the perfect shot of espresso.

The latte art sessions have been particularly enjoyable. The instructors offer great tips and personalized feedback, making it easier to learn techniques for creating beautiful designs.

Additionally, the course highlights Australia’s coffee scene, exploring local trends and practices. This context has deepened my appreciation for coffee and its cultural significance.

The atmosphere at Seven 2 Three Coffee is welcoming and supportive, fostering camaraderie among students. I’m looking forward to the remaining sessions and can’t wait to see how my skills...

Upon walking into this cafe I felt the most warm from all of the staff they would go out of their way to help me and always had a smile so often you go to a cafe and the staff are moody .

The other thing that I loved was that the staff members were always cautious with hot food passing it over or around my baby quite often staff in other cafes just past hot drinks straight over him and I can see it could be a big risk.

Tea the owner and also his staff are absolutely lovely and went out of their way to change my meal to make it keto friendly.

On top of all of this the meal was absolutely delicious they have a great Korean twist on our everyday food and I can't thank them enough.

This is my first Google review that's how good they are I don't normally leave them .

I'm so looking forward to getting to know them better and coming back to the cafe with my kids.
