We were at the party last night there (28.06.25). The venue is very nice; the security and the host staff were also very friendly. They even let us use the room upstairs to cut the cake for our friend’s birthday but unfortunately the maltreatment of one of the bar staff was not small for not to mention here. The barmaid wearing white t shirt was absolutely did not know what she was doing and was super rude.
I asked for a double makers mark with cola zero and two white rum with cola zero. ( I already knew what they have at the bar from my previous order served by another barmaid.) Thanks for her English she corrected me saying “Coke zero?” first she started pouring 2 jamesons in glasses I told her I asked for 2 rums and she said they only have this. I said that is not a rum I want white rum that I was served before. Then she took spicy rum bottle out with an aggressive attitude and told me they only have that. I kindly repeated myself saying I know you have white rum at the fridge in front of you. Then she changed the drinks and poured my bourbon with normal Coke. I told her I asked the makers mark with Coke Zero and she told me that I said normal Coke. ( she must forgot she corrected me:)) she changed that as well then put the pos machine in front of me like I did something to her.
Look end of the day we knew we were not at a cocktail bar and no one expected her to have knowledge of everything she serves. I worked as a bartender more than three years so I was okay even it was her first day. But I am the one ordering and trying to help with mistaken order there was no need so much attitude and rudeness. I did not want to make a scene but the situation of course put me down little bit. I’m pretty sure whoever got served by her before will recognise who I am talking about as I can’t be only one facing this situation.
Cozy and nice ambiance but management needs to do better with...
Read moreI had a terrible week a little bit ago and was rocking a major woe is me attitude and thinking the world was just over. I was scrolling on facebook and saw a Red Rattler event advertised and it caught my eye. I think we all know what the Red Rattler is as it has really made an impact in Sydney night life for years now, but this event felt different. I decided to take a chance and go to it. I was greeted by the kindest people, and offered a delicious cocktail. I went with the Carriage, which was so refreshing and unique. Omg I could go for a few more of those. I then tried an Express which was basically an alcoholic smoothie but somehow really rich in flavours. I ended up getting a jug of that (They sell jugs of that for date night). Look the drinks blew me away, I had always only gotten beer there before and now that I discovered these cocktails my life had changed. THEN THE MUSIC STARTED! This night was a night that was supporting students at a local Music and Performance school, and I honestly felt like I was witnessing the first shows of the next major Australian pop stars. The atmosphere felt like home but also the epicenter of something huge that I was not expecting. I talked with the new venue manager, Jojo, and he was telling me about some events that they were hosting and so I basically made it my goal to check out as many events as I could. The Red Rattler has paved a road to happiness for me and I honestly do not know what I would do without it now. Jojo was telling me they have a volunteer mixologist who is a master of flavour mixing and I gotta say if he were single and could make me those cocktails every night I...
Read moreThis is a very difficult review to provide. The atmosphere and the people at this venue are great. At the same time it’s a music venue with a tin roof, and it’s under the flight path, both of which contribute to noise interrupting the music. Still, if you’re up for a very genuine vibe, and understanding audiences and musicians this is the place to be. I won’t go into detail about the toilets, however, they are both interesting...
