My husband and I visited Sirculo for the first time on our date night last Saturday. From start to finish, our experience was exceptional. The ambience is warm, charming, and welcoming. We decided on the 6-course degustation menu, and we are so glad we did. We got to taste 6 amazing plates of food - salmon ceviche, antipasto, beef tartare, and pasta marinara. And just when we thought it was time for dessert, we realized there was still one more course - the lamb cutlets! It was clear that a lot of love goes into each and every dish. And the portions are generous, like we were being served in an Italian home. While we loved every bite, our favourite was the pasta marinara. The seafood was so fresh, and the sauce was beautiful. I must mention that the staff at Sirculo were polite, very helpful and friendly, and gave us personal attention the whole time we were there. We felt well looked after on what was a very busy night at the restaurant. The owner, Josh, comes over and checks on each and every one of the patrons. It was lovely striking up a conversation with him (and I finally recognized him from his mkr days!). For dessert we had the tiramisu and limoncello - we thoroughly enjoyed both, and we felt that the tiramisu was the best we ever had (and we've had plenty). When I mentioned this to Josh, he said it was his mother's recipe. Josh even got us mandarincello shots at the end! You can tell that Josh wants all his customers to leave Sirculo full, happy, and satisfied. Got to meet and compliment head chef Avik at the end as well. All in all, we had a wonderful night. Being a Hills local, we're so glad to have such a wonderful Italian restaurant jus 15 minutes away from us. Would love to stop by here for brunch or...
Read moreLast year my husband and I decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary at Sirculo. We were so glad we did. The restaurant itself has such a warm atmosphere and just looks beautiful inside. The food was exceptional, the service was exceptional. After having such a wonderful night at Sirculo we decided to celebrate our sons Baptism there as well. From the initial enquiries and questions I was making and asking it was clear that Saloni (I believe the manager/owner) was so incredibly enthusiastic and attentive. Nothing I was asking was too much or too difficult to organise or make happen. She was so extremely helpful and punctual. Such great contact and assistance throughout the organising of the event. She really made it such a 0 stress event for me and my husband. We were able to really just enjoy the day. As soon as the entrees started being served well my family were immediately impressed the compliments started rolling in about how delicious the food was. The presentation was lovely too. But the taste (chefs kiss) the mains were just a perfect follow and everyone kept asking me, “how did you find this place?” It seems that Sirculo is somewhat of a hidden gem. The waiters and waitresses were lovely and provided exceptional service. Hats off the the Chef and all that assisted in the food preparation. I just think if you’re going to have an event and are looking for a place that will tick all the boxes from the aesthetic, service, food and all round organising of the event. You will not go wrong with Sirculo and you and your guests will be impressed. I really can’t thank everyone at Sirculo enough. We are just so happy and we can’t wait to come back to try the breakfast menu....
Read moreSo, I popped into Sirculo for lunch today (Saturday), and let me tell you, walking in was a bit of a shock. The place was almost completely empty, just me, my companion, and... well, not much else. Awkward, right? But hey, we’re not ones to judge a book by its cover, so we sat down and kicked things off with a cocktail. I can't remember the name, but it was chef’s kiss perfect. Seriously, it was so good I might’ve considered taking a second one, but I didn’t want to embarrass myself (too much).
Next, the food. I ordered the Chicken Salad with caramelized onion, roquette, feta, walnuts, and a slice of seeded sourdough. Light, fresh, and tasty—good stuff. But the real hero of the meal? The Angus Beef Burger. It had prosciutto, onion, n’duja mayo, aioli, mozzarella, roquette slaw, and skin-on chips with herb mayo on the side. Guys, this burger was a game-changer. It had this amazing Italian twist that made me wonder why I’d been eating boring burgers all this time. The chips? Crunchy, perfectly seasoned, and that herb mayo? Chef’s kiss again.
By the time we finished, a few more people trickled in—4 to be exact—plus one takeaway order (smart move, really). So, it wasn’t completely a ghost town, but for a minute there, I felt like I’d wandered into some secret, exclusive dining club.
Anyway, long story short: if you’re hesitant, don’t be. Sirculo surprised me in the best way. From the initial worry of “uh-oh, is this going to flop?” to leaving with a big smile (and a full belly), I’m sold. Go check it out—you...
