Absolutely delicious. At the end of the day, that's all that really matters. So big shout out to the hard working chefs. First time visiting and we enjoyed our food so much that we have booked to come back in for Father's Day. Update: Father's Day lunch at The Duke of Dural was fantastic. Though super busy, it was handled well, with plenty of friendly waitstaff constantly clearing tables and an efficient kitchen team that kept pumping out an endless stream of delicious food, cooked to perfection. We didn't feel rushed as table allocation was 2 hours ! The card and a beer for Dad was a nice touch. The free raffle drawn at 4pm had us coming back for a second visit and a coldie on our way home. Thanks for making dad's day a great day. Update Jan 26 2024: Back again for Australia Day. Once again the food was delicious, the staff friendly and the environment cool and comfortable on what was a sweltering hot day. Loved the Oz day menu - The Surf n Turf was superb and our favourite Portuguese chicken was better than remembered. As always - shout out to the hardworking chefs. šŸ‘

I rang to book mothers day lunch for a party of 8 plus a child which I specified that we would need a baby seat for him a week in advance, I rang specifically instead of booking online so we could get seating suitable to accommodate the high chair. We were placed at a high table with bar stools, when I advised the hostess that I had rang previous to arrange suitable seating she told me there were no tables for 8 that were lower. I could see several (they were all full so we were unable to take one). The ones I did see had more than 8 people seated at them so this was a flat out lie. There were also no baby change facilities available, something it would've been nice to know at the time I booked considering I specifically said I had a young child. The food was average pub food and in my opinion not worth the high price tag.

This place has been recently renovated and it's a great option for a good stake any day. Ate here several times, from family dinners to various get-togethers, so I got a chance to go through their menu and see various options. Apart from the Wagyu rump stake with 3 choices of sauce, the warm salads with or without meat protein are also a must to try. The calamari rings are some of the best I've ever had and always eat more than I need to when I visit The Duke. There is a section away from the bar / bistro area so you can easily take young ones with you. Check the website for specials, for trivia nights and it's a good idea to book especially at the end of the week. You can also book the big dining room that has a huge table and fits 10-12 people. The only regret you'll have is that you ate too much.

It’s a wednesday afternoon. My friends and I went to have lunch at the Duke. 3 of my friends are under 18. I’m 20 years old. At the bar the first guy who served us was really nice and explained that only I could order at the bar since I am above 18. It was fine. Half an hour later the licensee of the venue at the time. A young woman. Came to tell us, in a very rude manner, that we were not allowed to sit and eat due to the fact that my friends need a legal guardian. This is half an hour after we paid $120 for food and we were told what we were doing is completely fine. She then proceeded to make some interesting racial remarks and was very condescending and hostile. Also, as we walked out we saw the food just sitting under the heat lights, which we said was a massive waste and that there are starving people in the world. She then proceeded to state that if those starving people are under the age of 18 they are also not welcome at the venue. I was shocked. I’d advise everyone against going to the duke if this lady is working there. We are shocked and disappointed as we always go there, at least twice a week with the same group of friends and we have never had...

The food was over priced and quality is below par . We are locals and every time we go - there is always a crisis, reasons why the food is late ( tonight is 1 hr 15 minutes ) with no apologies . Somehow - their inability to plan everytime we go becomes our problem each and that as a customer we should be graceful in accepting that they have yet another crisis in the kitchen . The manager was rude, acted like he was God because the place won some hotel award ( surely this was not won over customer service or the food / drinks ) he can be taught some basic manners before he was left to stand at the front - -chef was frantic and the bouncers think every person who walks in is suspicious . I am not sure why we take our family and friends to this place - it is local but big reason enough never to return - as customers - we don’t need to pay for bad service , bad food and...
