Tandoori Village — Restaurant in Sydney

As much as I want to give them 5 stars, I simply can't.

The food tastes so good, the portion sizes were great with left overs to spare, the samosas are fantastic and both me and my partner agreed we would definitely go back... Until we got food poisoning so bad, it's left my partner in hospital with a +40°C temperature and needing extra fluids.

I want to be able to say "buy their food" as its local and one of the best butter chickens and beef korma's in the area, but the food poisoning was so bad, I don't know whether it was a one-off for us, a bad batch or if their hygiene is poor but we won't be buying from here again which is such a shame since it was so tasty

I hope that it was a one-off but at the same time, I really don't think it should have happened. If the owners end up reading this, I hope you keep making food as tasty as it was but I hope that this was a one-off. It really sucks that it happened and I would say the food was to die for, but we really weren't ready to die...

Have ordered 3 times for delivery. Twice have ended up picking up as they've said delivery would take an hour or so as they were very busy. Third time delivery order online estimated 1hr again but ended up taking 1hr, 25min. No apologies for lateness. Food was cold, there was a spill of one of the curries in the bag, one of the dishes was missing. We called them as soon we realised one was missing and they said it would take another 45min to deliver it so I picked it up instead. Barely an apology, didn't believe me that the food was cold, couldn't give us a refund, only offered free rice. Very poor service and won't be going back there! Other Indian place around the...

Food was exceptional. And great value. As good as any Indian food we've had in Australia. Experience somewhat spoiled by the waitress who kept asking if we'd finished/ if we needed takeaway boxes. Be warned. Don't pause to chat or you'll be encouraged to leave. What made it more annoying was that the couple on the next table had finished their meal and were having a full on domestic - to the point where it seemed they could come to blows - as they chugged their way through the dregs of two bottles of byo wine, yet the staff left them to it.
