1st time here. Not a lot of people there as it’s not even 6 pm, but their parking lot was already 99% full. We went dining area upstairs which supposed to be the “quiet”area. We could still hear the loud speakers downstairs clearly. Yet it is a pub so kinda expected. Roast beef is lean, juicy, tender & my boss like it more than i do. I don’t know how they achieve that without any visible fat. I hope it is not Chinese restaurant baking soda trick. Argentina stew is even better. & again, my boss like it better than I do. 2 for 2, never happen before. Service is perfect. We’ve talked to 2 males & 1 female attendants. All of them are friendly, warm, welcoming, efficient & effective. What more anyone could ask for? In general this place met all of our expectations or more, so the following are just my wish list … Parking (double decker? :p), quiet corner, name tags for citation, Warmer dishes (hotpot? stone grill? :p) Definitely will be back again within the...
Read moreUnfortunately quite a disappointing experience. Meal size is good, it looks good but once you start eating... We had a chicken schnitzel with fries and salad. The schnitzel was OK but had far too much breading, also at the end I had a few bites that almost tasted like the meat was off. The fries... Oh wow, I really eat a lot of salt and usually I always add extra salt when I get a meal but that definitely wasn't necessary this time. It was on the edge, even for me. The salad was the usual combination of loveless premixed leaves with the cheapest premixed dressing from the discounter. And the sauce, well that's always a tough one here in Australia. Somehow my taste buds and the sauces in this country are simply not compatible, and I've already lowered my expectations, but this one was clearly below average. All in all it wasn't a catastrophe but clearly below average. Ps: no members pay more, 10% extra on...
Read moreWalked in with my best mate the other day. He was asked to get off the chair by management. He was not drunk!
Yesterday we were sitting in the aircon, minding our own business. We were asked to go outside cause management had recently decided that my friend was undesirable. He was not even drunk.
The reason was…we have new furniture and your mate will ruin it.
So I now go to the St George motor boat club. They welcome my little mate. They feed him and make a fuss of him. They even have a special menu for him…not a kids menu…something better.
They realise that my little mate actually produces regular income for them as well, and all the patrons love him. He never causes trouble but he us not welcome in the intersection hotel.
The intersection is not dog friendly. The stupidity of the owners and management will determine their fate. Very empty here in on a Saturday night. Dies not Rick line the zinc...
