Used to be a frequent at hunters hill before they closed. Food was always consistent. Here, not so much unfortunately. Ordered takeaway, picked up 20 mins later, there were loads of orders there waiting to be picked up which was fantastic as I want to see hospitality do well with all the challenges they currently face. Grabbed my boxes and side, boxes seemed cold and soggy. Was forgiving of that, as long as the taste was there. Paid my $74, got home and had what I would confidently say was the worst meal I’ve had in my 30whatever years.
Guys, if you’re going to charge $30 for a prawn pizza, then make sure the prawns used are unable to be mistaken with a rubber eraser. If it’s that bad, take it off the menu temporarily. Don’t believe you can serve trash to a customer when genuinely a dominos pizza would be superior at half the price. The extreme overuse of chilli and garlic to mask this made it obvious you’re aware of the quality and in turn made it completely inedible if you ignore the pool of oil it was bathing in. For the side - again, if someone is paying $20, please pretend it’s fresh by reheating it slightly closer to the time the customer is arriving. There was one table of patrons there and plenty of staff on the restaurant side so I don’t for a second believe there was any issue utilising the restaurant staff temporarily to clear a backlog. I was there right on the time that was asked and at that stage opening the container looked as though someone had left a cold tap running inside said container. The last pizza was ok if you ignore the pool of oil that one was sitting in.
If you’re going to charge a premium, then your product needs to be edible. I know repeat business at this moment in time may not be too high priority for many places who are short staffed and overwhelmed with orders, but it soon will again and you need to prepare for that. I for one, will not be ordering from here again but still wish you luck and hope this feedback, albeit super...
Read moreI hosted my 21st birthday dinner at Via Napoli and it was perfect! The team at Via Napoli was so generous and friendly throughout the entire planning process and it made my experience there absolutely wonderful.
Before my event, Luca showed us around the venue and sat down with us to work out a menu, and even gave me his personal number so that I could regularly communicate with him. It made planning everything so easy and took a lot of stress off my shoulders.
On the night, the waiters were so friendly and helpful and catered to every request with a smile. They even sent a waiter to run across the road to the Woolworths and buy me chalk so that I could decorate the chalkboard in the room - I was so touched and surprised that a restaurant would go so above and beyond to look after a customer. Giuseppe looked after us throughout the night and he was absolutely wonderful - efficient, patient and super friendly. All the other waiters were lovely too.
Onto the food - I've eaten at Via Napoli a few times before and the food is absolutely delicious. It is the reason why I wanted to host my birthday there, because I knew the food would not disappoint. And I was right! We got five 1m pizzas, a few pastas, some antipasto boards, and some wine to share. Everything was so yummy! So many of my friends made a point to tell me how delicious the food was and quite a few even said it was the BEST pizza they've ever had. I knew this already, of course.
Overall, the team at Via Napoli made my 21st birthday a night I won't forget. It took so much weight off my shoulders knowing that I had a team that I could trust to help me run everything smoothly and deliver delicious food. Every detail, from the service to the food to the way I was treated before and after the event, was so lovely and I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough.
Looking forward to coming back soon, thank you so...
Read moreI recently came here for my birthday dinner with a group of 10 friends. Despite making a 6:30 reservation we were only seated at 6:45 after having asked persistently to be seated, waiting in the cold as we watched others without bookings get seated before us. We ordered a couple of metre long pizza's which were delicious, but rather skimpy on the toppings with only one tiny meatball per large slice. The second the last slice of pizza was taken off the tray the staff immediately came to clean up, leaving my friend who was still eating without a plate or cutlery. Then they came back almost instantly to offer dessert, to which we declined. Before I even had time to blink the card machine was on the table, waiting to be paid. The waiter didn't even ask who was paying (as this was my birthday dinner I obviously would), but instead put the machine in the middle of the table and walked away, allowing my friends to see the bill which is extremely unprofessional. After paying he came back to collect the machine and immediately asked us to leave. Mind you I had never even asked for the bill in the first place, and half the table was vacated to go to the bathrooms. We were then forced out of our seats as he had more people on top of us to take the table, despite having 1.5 hours of seating time as per our reservation and the restaurants policy. Seated at 6:45, asked to leave at 7:35 - ridiculous. Extremely disappointing experience on my birthday, forcing me out into the cold to wait for my ride home. I cried myself to sleep....
