Food is great. The coffee is excellent. Most of the staff members are very lovely. They were particularly friendly today. I will say that the elderly lady who is usually near the cash register (I'm guessing she's one of the owners) has dreadful customer service skills. When I went up to pay, she whispered something in the one guy's ear while staring at me and snickering. She was also hostile when she took the payment from me. I remember the previous time I ate here, she did the same thing. I was sitting at a table close to the cafe entrance, and for almost the whole time she was whispering stuff to the staff members while staring at me and laughing. Seriously if she has that much of a chip on her shoulder that she feels the need to belittle some of her customers, then she should definitely not be allowed to run this cafe let alone even work here. At least today I managed to sit at a table where I couldn't see her while I was enjoying my food. And as mentioned, the staff members who served me today were really pleasant. So the only negative experience was when I encountered this lady while making the payment, so at least it was a short negative experience this time. If it wasn't for her, I'd give this...

Always have amazing food. I've been to this place since it opened as Two Brothers, as some people may not know it used to be Aristocrat. Like I said the food is amazing, service is quick, the food comes at lightening speed, compared to other restaurants such as Hogsbreath or Rashays. I came here just yesterday with my parents, brother and nana, and all the staff were friendly, one member ASKED if we wanted cracked pepper, which not a lot of restaurants do these days, a lot of the time you need to ask the staff yourself. I ordered the Two Brothers Club Sandwich and might I say it was the best sandwich I've ever had, I ordered it the last time I came too, and it's worth the money you pay, it's juicy, hot, fresh, the chips are hot and fresh, and just overall a great meal. Completely recommend.

Two Brothers has an outstanding atmosphere and very calm and cosy, especially if you choose to sit inside away from the weather and Lane Cove's flock of birds that like to swoop and poop when they get the chance 😏

Overall this cafe/restaurant deserves my 5...

I've been a couple of times and have to say really enjoyed the food and the young girls that serve you are very friendly and helpful. It's a pity the older woman who is often at the counter seems to have such a chip on her shoulder. She was lovely to the men in front of me when they were paying: smiling and laughing with them. But when I got up to the counter her expression changed and she would not look at me and gave me a vibe that I was a real nuisance being at her restaurant. Pity as everything else about the place was great. I would go again but hope I can pay the bill with someone else at the counter. Other female friends of mine who go more regularly commented about her being rude to them as well and noticed also that she was charming to the men when they came up to the counter to pay. If you are going to work in hospitality then surely being hospitable is part...

Everywhere in Lane Cove Village is going to be expensive so let's put that out first. For food and coffee it five this place 4 stars is good but not spectacular. Problem is service. There isn't any. They employ young kids (probably because they are cheap) who aren't proactive at all. They are pleasant bit you ask for the bill, it comes 10 minutes later, and they you put your card down and nothing happens for 10 minutes. You literally have to chase them down. Come on! I asked doe the bill, at least look to see if I'm ready to pay! Improve customer service and you get 4 stars. Until then... 3

Friendly staff. I walked past, looking at suitable places for a meal. Returned here as there were different items on the menu. Sat inside, and watched how the waitresses are very attentive and helpful, especially for mums with prams, and the elderly. Very polite people. This cafe offers indoor and outdoor seating, with table service. Seems quite a few regulars drop in for a meal and coffee. If in Lane Cove, make it a place to visit. It's average priced, and quiet enough. The indoor area wasn't noisy at all.

“This is a story of... two brothers”. If you have seen Rick and Morty, you know where I am going with that one. Overall, it was ok. 2.5 stars would be more appropriate. We had the fritters and the avo on toast. Unfortunately fritters were.. cakey. No crunch and the avocado didn’t seem fresh. Additionally, the toast seemed very stale. Like the whole thing was the texture of the crust. Maybe it was toasted well in advance? Either way, very dry. Probably won’t be going back here anytime soon.
