Thank you to the Four Frogs team at Lane Cove for making my birthday weekend dinner with them such a delight. We had the Nutella and strawberry crepe and smoked salmon gallete, both were fantastic and delicious.
Unfortunately, this was marred by an unbearable woman who wouldn't stop talking and had an issue with every little thing.
First, she complained to the wait staff telling them they're a "regular" and that they need to help them to their chair, and that they would know to do this if they weren't new. To the same wait staff, she said she needed to pick things up quietly and softly because she is sensitive to sound, but didn't bat an eye when a Nissan Silvia revved down the road less than 15m away.
Then she had an issue with our dog whilst in outdoor seating saying that they were allergic and that she can't have a dog so close.. our dog had moved from the road side of the table to under table about half a metre closer. This was after we moved our dog away from the road so that our dog won't interact with any dogs walking past and make an issue for that woman.
She sCrEaMed across the hallway to tell us that WE needed to move to a different table because she was allergic, when she had rolled past our table less than 10 minutes prior.
She was a completely entitled woman with an utterly astringent personality. I felt for her at first because she had physical or medical issues due to her foldaway wheelchair, but then her constant complaining showed us that this was misplaced. We could hear her from 5 tables away and it was almost enough for us to walk away.
I wish we had noise cancelling headphones that worked for her voice while we ate because of her constant complaining to her carer, waitstaff, to people she was calling ON LOUD SPEAKER (even thought she said multiple times that she's sensitive to loud noises) was the only negative thing about tonight.
Thank you again to the Four Frogs team at Lane Cove for serving us so kindly and positively through this and I hope you don't need to deal with this woman for much longer. You don't deserve her kind of negativity in...
Read moreHad lunch here last Sunday and both the food and coffee were really nice. However the experience left a bitter taste in our mouths as we were served by the duo of unfriendly brunette and rude blonde. I was a bit confused about their rude attitudes as both my partner and I were being polite and thanked them multiple times when they served us. So I thought maybe they were both having a bad day (gotta give em the benefit of doubt ya know), but then I noticed that they were being nice to the other tables except for us. Then it dawned on me that we were one of the two Asian tables there. Oh no, I thought, it can’t be because we’re Asians right? (I’ve honestly never been subjected to racism throughout my 8 years in Australia). But the way these two waitresses (especially the blonde girl) treated us and other tables were just so obviously different, I couldn’t help but try analysing the reason for that. The cherry on top (what really drove me to leave this review) is the ‘grand’ credit card slamming by the blonde waitress when we paid our bill. She took my card and tapped, then threw it on to the tray without a care in the world, not to mention the obligatory “thank you” with bare minimum sincerity. Then we left. Would we go back again? Of course, the food was wonderful! But I can only hope we don’t cross paths with the same two...
Read moreIf I could give it 0 stars I would. Service, food and atmosphere were absolutely terrible.
Ordered 2 savoury crepes and 2 sweet. The food took a while to come out. We were almost finished our coffees by the time the savoury crepes were served. They were dry, over cooked and cold. We had finished our savoury crepes and the 2 sweet crepes had still not come out. We asked the wait staff what the delay was as it does not take long to cook a crepe and put maple syrup on it. We were told that the ticket fell down and they missed the order so will cook it now. The crepes finally came and were again were average.
On top of the terrible food and service there were flies everywhere. All over the food and drinks, it was almost impossible to eat and turned you completely off.
The staff also squashed tables next to us so much that I couldn’t even leave my seat.
We asked for a discount on the food since we were waiting so long and we were offered 50% off 1 item. The bill was still extremely high at $75 for 4 coffees and 4 crepes.
Extremely disappointed with this location as the Mosman one is...
