Recommended by an older work colleague, said the place used to be a great pub years ago. Sadly, it isnât what ol mate experienced back in the day. Craving a burger so took a gamble instead of the typical plain old usual pub Parma. Was quite overcooked and shrunk to the size of a large slider. Should call it the Lizzo burger cuz itâs just two giant crusty buns, no lean beef to be found. Not one to complain but if it wasnât $26 I would be a bit forgiving. Sad state for the chips too Iâm afraid, even a seagull might turn up their beak to em. The bar and beers are the usual suspects, not anything to pro or con for. Few of the locals act like the own the place yelling and hooting about a fish story or a footy team. Again nothing too much cause for concern but it seemed that dress code and hygiene were optional for guests who arrived straight from the docks and abattoirs. The tvs are a good distraction from the cracked walls/ceilings, and dust-laden air vents. I did notice the place seemed like a family business and I always try to give patronage to small family businesses. Not my business but it might be time for a new cook. To the guests fresh from the butchers and fish mongers Iâd just let them know that no outside food or drink allowed, including whatâs on...

First we were greeted by a very indifferent person that looked like really but really did not want to be there, very unfriendly. Food came out pretty quick as we where there by almost our selves. Schnitzel, over cooked, dry and just plain reheated from the freezer. Pasta tasteless and just wrong. Now to the bits of plastic found in the food... well they were cooked to perfection. When pointed out to the very un polite and very un apologetic waitress she made the plate with the plastic bits disappear faster than a speeding bullet which in that "grab and run" stunt one of our beers were spilled. No replacement offer of any kind was made. When the plastic bits were shown to what seamed to be the owner he just laughed it off. No apologies or at least an attempt to rectify the mishap. Just poor from the team of a local establishment that we visited many times in the past but I don't think it is worth visiting again. Very...
Read moreWent here with my parents expecting a good time from past experiences, however had issues with almost everything we ordered. I understand that changing up recipes is a great way to instill new life into common dishes, but it's not that great when it isn't communicated well through the menu.
My father ordered the Potato Gnocchi and was very disappointed when it appeared to be fried (or doused in oil or grease). My mother ordered the Salt and Pepper Calamari and we compared it to my starter Calamari. The starter had more calamari in total since hers also had chips and a small salad on the side which wasnt great and the calamari itself seemed the same despite the main Calamari boasting a variety of seasonings and toppings on the menu which the starter didn't. (Garlic Bread was nice though.)
The food was decently tasty, which is why it's 2 stars and not 1, but the overwhelming negatives outweigh the...
