Real rating should be under 3 stars. Now it’s flooded with fake 5 star reviews, how greedy to buy them?
I used to come here every week with my family, spending around $50–70 per person. We liked the food, but the customer service has always been terrible.
One time, when it wasn’t even busy, they served another table’s skewers to us by mistake. We pointed it out kindly, without touching the food. Instead of apologizing, the owner came over and rudely questioned us as if we had done something wrong. Completely uncalled for.
Another time, we chose to sit at an outdoor table that was a bit dusty. We asked if we can seat there and they said yes. We didn’t mind the table was dirty, cleaned it ourselves, and ordered as normal.
Then a young waiter asked us to move, saying the table was “booked.” That made no sense because we had already checked before sitting down. We refused. The waiter got stuck, then his older colleague came and insisted again that we move, but we overheard staff saying they just wanted us closer to make service easier, not because the table was booked.
After we were there having food around 90mins, the previous table was still vacant. So the female staff is surely lying.
Ridiculous and disrespectful. After so many bad experiences, we will not come back.
Jennifer and Jason. No matter how many reviews you are buying or how many videos you take to advertise. You are always loosing customers.
Just no reason....
Read moreOverall: 6/7 A skewers place but actually does a lot of good “mains” also. Their skewers themselves are just ok-good, but the ridiculous variety and very reasonable price tag on everything makes this highly recommended.
Standouts are: Fried brisket fat thing: 7/7 I don’t really know what this is in terms of the physical cow but it tastes incredible. It’s also probably terrible for your health, being 95% fat, but delicious. Order some to share! One skewer per person is more than enough.
Spicy chicken fried pieces: 6/7 Quite spicy, very fatty, very tasty. I think maybe the entire thing is made of dark meat, so everything is incredibly tender. A lot of chillis, but also a lot of meat to share.
Dough drop soup: 6/7 Massive portion, plenty for four people. Super hearty dish to share with friends on a cold night. Not spicy at all, fantastic with a carb.
Things I wouldn’t get again: Special lamb skewers - tastes a bit funky, and exy. Just get the normal ones. Fried rice cake - just really dense… Starchy sausage -...
Read moreCame here to eat on their second day of opening and I was very disappointed by their customer service. Food took about 25 mins to cook (most of the dishes are thin skewers which should take a lot less time to cook). Also, one of our dishes never came out. We asked about it after waiting some time, was told by the waitress it's already on the grill and it's coming. Checked again later and found that they had forgotten about our dish completely and was just grabbing it from the freezer to put it on the grill.... We asked for a refund for that dish then left.
Another factor that contributed to our bad experience was that we only found out after ordering that all the dishes are chilli. Why doesn't the menu say all dishes are chilli, or have chilli indicators for the dishes that are chilli? Are customers expected to know all dishes are chilli and thus need to request no chilli?
I will give this place another try in the distant future and update my review. Hopefully the experience is much better next...
