Okay listen I have to be honest here, this place when it first opened wasn’t the best the food in my regular big breakfast wasn’t the best, I had a situation in the past when I received a bad donut from the bunch but after trying today seeing a change of chef and great staff coordination.

Anyway today I had XS Espresso's Big Breakfast, and let me tell you, it was an absolute delight from start to finish! If you're searching for a substantial and scrumptious breakfast that hits all the right notes, this is the place to be. Upon entering XS Espresso, the inviting ambiance and friendly staff immediately set the tone for a memorable dining experience. The menu offered a wide array of options, but my eyes were immediately drawn to the Big Breakfast, and boy, am I glad I chose it! For $28, the Big Breakfast left me feeling completely satisfied and fueled for the day ahead. The combination of flavors and generous portions truly impressed me. They were a delicious addition to the plate. Waffle Fries: Who would have thought waffle fries would make an appearance at breakfast? XS Espresso did, and they were an absolute treat! One of the worst meals and hospitality experiences i can remember. We ordered a Burger for lunch. I note the place was full, and the vast majority of customers had desserts, sweets and coffee's. We ordered burgers and orange juice for lunch. The burger patty was not 100% beef. It was more life a fried meatball patty. It was way overcooked and very dry and not appealing. The Burger came with bacon. It was a purplish color, and very chewy. The Burger was topped with 2 potato scallops or small hash brown wannabees. They were very saturated with oil and over cooked. The chips were also overcooked, and oily. We both ordered the orange juice. One was a little more than aerated froth, and mine was very tart and unripened in flavour. The staff approached us and asked about the service, we informed them about the juices to which the response was, "well it is not orange season". The cafe does not have printed menus. I was there two elderly friends. They did not want us to use the one printed copy they held at the counter, but insisted we use or phones via a QR reader app. They repeatedly asked us to do this despite our requests to see a printed menu. I usually don’t leave a review, but today’s IFTAR special was a bit disappointing, mostly because we did not even receive our food. (service however was nice)

We made a reservation for two at 5:30pm, Iftar was at 5:45pm. The set menu worth $65 included unlimited entrees, a main and a dessert. We were two people.

We waited for our 2 mains for more than an hour. Mind you it’s an Iftar menu which meant we were fasting all day.

We were the ONLY table remaining waiting for our food, around 7pm we just got tired and decided to get our refund and leave. (P.S we were not the last one to order)

NOTE: The waitress who served us was very nice and seemed concerned, so no complaints on personal service. We were offered takeaway but by then it was too late. UPDATE: the owner called us after and personally apologised, and we highly appreciate it!

We recommend given you have begun an IFTAR special, please focus on ensuring every table gets their MAIN MEALS as customers are waiting to simply break their fast and eat. Then focus on delivering the remaining dessert to each table.
