Regretfully had a very unpleasant experience with the Ramadan Iftar buffet, the quality of food and the level of service were both inferior. Briyani had only one semi shredded piece of chicken and wasn’t replenished throughout the 45 minutes we were in attendance, chicken karahi, made with boneless chicken had a very bland and basic gravy that was just blended and sautéed. Nihari was watery with thin shorba and was miles away from Zahid nihari that the restaurant claims it is inspired from, beef was subpar as well. Chai was no good either. Tandoori chicken was cold and rubbery. Naans were not replenished throughout and the ones present were cold, no tongs were provided for them, people were using bare hands to pick the warmer ones. The owner seemed totally uninterested in the business and sat in the corner throughout the time and never attended the food table nor cleared/cleaned the tables promptly after customers had left. We decided to try the breakfast buffet, but overall, the experience was underwhelming. The qeema matar was disappointing—there wasn’t a single matar (pea) in the liquid qeema, which felt misleading. The paya had potential but needed more cooking to achieve the right tenderness. While the rest of the dishes were passable, none of them stood out, and the flavors felt rather ordinary. I am not a good cook but can definitely make better halwa for sure lolz. One of the biggest letdowns was the lack of consistency between their advertised menu and what was actually available. For example, the Nutella paratha, which was highlighted as a kids special on social media, was declined to be served. This misalignment creates false expectations, and they really need to update their menu across all platforms to reflect what’s genuinely being served. We had the pleasure of working with them for both our Chothi function, which was held in their beautifully arranged restaurant hall, and for catering during our daughter’s Mehndi event. They truly exceeded expectations. The nihari, halwa puri, and chicken tikka were outstanding—reminiscent of the rich, traditional flavors we enjoy back home in Karachi. Our guests were thoroughly impressed by the quality, taste, and authenticity of the food.
