Hong Kong Chinese Fast Food Restaurant — Restaurant in Taree

If I hadn't seen a customer walk out the front door with a bag of goodies I might have moved on. The place looked abandoned. I hope the carpets had just been shampooed, as they were damp underfoot, and all the tables and chairs had been pulled too one side of the room, but the large pile of food delivery in the dining room made me feel this was not a short time arrangement. The food we ordered was really tasty, the sweet n sour fish, had a lovely delicate white fish, I chose it deep fried, but I might go with braised next time, as it's hard to get a crisp coating and not over cook such a nice fish (our coating just slid off and a bit soggy). Servings were very generous and staff very quietly spoken...

So I just bought what I thought was pork RIBS!!! In peaking sauce. I have been craving this exact dish in ages and I was served this... you can see in the first two photos what I was served. In the remainder photos is what pork RIBS looks like.. ps.. also in peaking sauce...I'm not happy. If I wanted to order cheap pork I would have. Hence why I thought I would treat myself to a decent meal as I live alone and don't get them often. When you go to order honey pork it's alot cheaper and I feel I was delt with the same pork just in some "different" sauce it's disgraceful to be served a completely different dish. Especially when you rang in advance to see if they had the order you required!!...

Really yummy food at a very competitive price. Oddly tucked away at the end of a carpark/driveway well worth the find. BEWARE!!!

Really enjoyed the food here HOWEVER my daughter has a pork allergy and ordered special fried rice no pork. They cooked it in a clean pot but took the pork out before serving 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️!!!!

When she became extremely ill and rang them. She was given the story about how careful they were to remove the pork before delivery. Would not refund and would not take responsibility for carelessly poisoning her.

I no longer recommend this establishment due to their carefree attitude...
