WOW. WOW WOW Walked in this bakery not expecting alot I was expecting a small town bakery with not much on offer Well I was so wrong From entrance to counter my eyes widened and my mouth and stomach got excited The array of food was sensational and was definitely eye taking- aromatic and well presented The staff where impeccable with presentation- the store clean and inviting and the food was excellent They have an great selection of Vegetarian/Vegan options - So I decided along with my purchase to try the Vegan Mushroom pie

Well I broke it in half others in the car said wow that looks good - so the pie got shared amongst non vegan friends who all commented it was GREAT one even saying They’d consider it as their choice in future due to the flavours that it contained The fruit cake and cream horn desserts that were purchased were VALUE and tasty Would I go here again ??? DEFINITELY Yes I’d drive 1.5 hours just to get food from here - Also a mention of the staff member who served myself (a young person who had only started 3 days prior) well your a credit to the bakery as I said when I came back in to thank you for the great experience both service and food which...

Arrived a little more than an hour prior to closing on a Saturday and waited 15 minutes for the two staff members to finish serving one customer before taking our (party of 3) order. While one staff member was taking our order, the other staff member told him to turn the next two customers away otherwise they'll "never get out of" there. Took around 25 minutes after some misunderstandings over our order to serve us a pie from the oven (which was otherwise fine), scones with jam (but no cream) and three coffees - none of the above was served at the same time, and although we were given a table number the staff member who handed it to us still didn't seem sure where they were serving. This used to be a favorite spot for the food and service but this time I was underwhelmed. Highly recommend some further training or at least supervision for the Saturday staff we encountered; disorganization can be a one off, but their...

Vegetarian Pastie used to be one of my favourites. Ordered one recently and it seems to have changed recipe. Was just a few peas and corn mixed in with small chunks of possibly potato?…. it was quite hard to distinguish it as potato due to it being a strange off grey colour. Was quite off putting and very tasteless with no flavours or spices added to it. Just bland….

I did ask the male worker if the grey colour was normal in the pastie but he just looked at it and said that it was lentils and continued about his day. I know it wasn’t ā€œlentilsā€ so just left it and will not be ordering that again.

Hopefully they return back to the original recipe one day soon as they used to be one of the best...

Ridiculously overrated and super expensive. Cost $25 for two pies and a egg sandwich. Frustrating nothing is priced. Scallop pie tasted and had the texture of a prawn shell broth custard. Brutal raw seafood taste with no finesse. Pie base undercooked and soft. Found a Chunk of scallop shell in pie. Had 4 scallop pies while traveling around Tassie. This is defiantly the worst, and up there with the worst pie I’ve eaten. About 6 staff behind the counter, and no one seems to know what is going on. Everyone fumbling over each other and not really knowing what is going on.

Stopped here a week ago and well worth getting wet. Bought a vege pastie which was oh so good and I didn’t get a chance to take a photo haha. Also purchased a chunky steak n kidney pie and I’m told it was chunky! Also got an apple turnover which was thoroughly delicious. Beautiful. But the absolute best part was this gigantic Lamington! Oh my lawds! So wicked !

On holiday in Launceston from overseas and this is our daily go-to. Great coffee (love that you can have this in a mug) and very friendly staff. Super warm space, with a cosy fireplace. But the bakery delights are what makes this so worthwhile! Loved the pretty lemon meringue tart, the berry and custard muffin, and the bacon and egg croissant.
