Just popped by after visiting a few local wineries. Had read online that you offer wine tastings. Due to this we bypassed a few local wineries we wanted to try (bay of fires and clover hill as examples), and when we arrived at 5.15pm to try some wines, we were informed they don’t do tastings due to covid, however could offer a glass of wine of our choice for $14. Why advertise you offer wine tastings when this is something you currently do not offer. We would have liked to have purchased some bottles to send back to Perth, but not without tasting the wine first. As a result of bypassing the earlier wineries to fit in everything, we have now missed out on trying & buying wine from those places.
On top of this, other wineries were offering tastings, therefore the excuse of covid being the reason behind no tastings does not make sense. If it is a matter of cost, we would have been more than happy to pay for a wine tasting. Had we been aware earlier you no longer offer wine tastings, we would have planned our Tamar Valley wine tour to include additional wineries. What a shame.
Would not recommend coming here unless you wanted a glass of wine. And even then, the staff did not seem...
Read moreA big heartfelt thankyou to Adam! I attended a wedding for my brother in law in July at Tamar Valley Wine Centre, a week before the wedding I discovered I was pregnant. After a few days consideration I messaged the Facebook page to enquire if they happened to have non-alcoholic wine and explained that I wanted to keep my pregnancy under wraps until after the couples big day! The response I received from Adam was more than I could have expected, he said they did not stock it but would get me a bottle, I was not only touched by the effort but also the sincerity and care that his message had. After notifying bar staff on my arrival, everyone was discrete, even remembering me so I did not have to ask for my order in front of family and friends. Sometimes its just the small things that make such a big difference! Thank you to everyone at Tamar Valley Wine Centre, it wasn't a problem you were expected to help solve but you went above and beyond and I am...
Read moreI have eaten here, with my friend, three times. Every time the meals have been excellent, the staff super friendly and the value for money is pretty good too. Today I had the “three dips and pita bread” platter, which was huge. It had olives, feta cheese, three dips, cucumber, carrot and celery. I also had some very good assistance in choosing a Tasmanian red wine which I don’t usually drink. My friend had part of the “breakfast until 11.30” menu; she had scrambled eggs and bacon, with which she was very happy. This is the best place in Exeter to get a good meal, value for money and great service.. It is also fairly quiet, which amazes me. I think everyone goes to the local take-always and cafes without realising they can get a much better meal here. Also, the background music here is more to my taste, more seventies/eighties music rather than techno. And there’s good wine here as well. Give this...
