Dont ever go to the Exeter Pub if visiting the area!! Theu are unprofessional and untruthful. Their facebook page stated they were open until 9pm. We got there at 7 and and they locked the door and said tills were closed even though people were still in side. Then when i posted a review on facebook tried to say mum and i were inebriated!!! We hadnt even had a drink and mum was driving!! I could understand if they came back with sorry we will look into the advertised hours but we have always closed at that time...i would have been ok with that answer, but to try and say we were inebriated is not ok!!

Staying on empty block that the pubs provides in exchange for patronage at the pub.Great location in town. Friendly pub staff. At the time of us staying there they were not serving meals.

We stopped for lunch, and the food and service were great. It's definitely worth visiting.

Staff are all lovely and pleasant. Atmosphere is non-existent - tables were covered in paper and no music. I ordered the “Garlic and chilli prawns ŵ. toms Linguine”. From this description I expected linguine tossed through a tomato based garlic and chilli sauce with prawns. I received a bowl of fettuccine in buttery water with a few chilli flakes and a few slices of fresh garlic, bland prawns and some halved cherry tomatoes. The fettuccine was so so bland, no seasoning, no flavour aside from a tiny hint of chilli. For $26, I left extremely disappointed. It honestly felt like the pasta wasn’t strained. I will also add, the grammatical errors on the menu make it extremely difficult to understand. One terribly disappointed patron who had high hopes of a lovely...

I had the steak sandwhich for dinner and unfortunately became violently ill 24hrs later. It's now night 4 and I'm still not well. I've never experienced anything like it - doesn't even compare to gastro! The toilets looked like they had never been cleaned nor the window seals with all the dead flies and bugs. I've worked in hospitality for many years and the first thing I noticed was the fact that they had too many items on the menu for Winter which means most of the food would definitely not be fresh. The staff were nice enough, but I won't...
