2 vegan options, which are basically taking off anything from that's not vegan from a dish but charging you full price for it without any option to swap. You end up paying the 'vegan tax' 😔 Smashed avocado on toast $24 - made vegan by taking off the egg and cheese. Extra mushrooms $6 - a side of soggy flavourless mushrooms, charged as they didn't allow a swap on the dish.😡🤯 Came as one slice of barely toasted bread, a good amount of avo, far too much balsamic glaze and a sprinkle of pickled red onions. Dissatisfied and left hungry. My partner had Toast and Spreads $9 (2 slices with vegemite) and the extra mushrooms again at $6. Had to pay extra for plant based milks too, which seems common in Aus, even though they have a longer shelf life than dairy. All in all, wouldn't recommend to a vegan, make the drive to Launceston. Across our week and a half trip to Tassie we tried a lot of different cafes and restaurants however, The Cabin has quickly become our favourite. Super friendly staff and accommodating to our grumpy baby boy who wanted to sit around the back in the sun. Staff would regularly come and check on how our meals were going and if anything needed to be altered. The food is absolutely amazing. We came for breakfast one morning on our way out for the day but quickly decided we would revisit the following morning. Saying that it was the best food and coffee we have had in Tassie is an understatement. It’s honestly our favourite food from any restaurant or cafe in years. Thank you to all the staff here. Everyone, do yourself a favour and stop in here for a...

Friendly welcoming atmosphere. Greeted with a smile and served quickly. My almond piccolo was smooth and good quality Villino coffee. The buckwheat crepe was comfort in a plate. Flavours of feta, mushroom, balsamic with pistachios and a poached egg. I great option for someone with a gluten intolerance. The interior of the cafe is visually pleasing with a cute retail section off to the side.

The Cabin in Exeter is a true Tassie treasure. With its warm, inviting atmosphere and top-notch coffee, it’s no wonder it’s a local favourite. The menu showcases fresh, local produce, and the staff are always friendly and attentive. Whether you’re after a hearty breakfast or a light lunch, The Cabin delivers quality and comfort in equal measure. A must-visit spot in the Tamar Valley.
