Fearless Freddy Cafe — Restaurant in Tasmania

I relied on the google ratings and tried this place however I was disappointed again. True rating should hover around a 3.5 out of 5. Not acknowledged by staff for 5 minutes on entering, had to ask If they were open. Couldn't sit inside as too hot, they reported A/C was broken.

Ordered 2 x pizzas one was a pepperoni and another a chilli prawn pizza. Both pizzas had been overloaded with cheese. There was literally so much. Also when the pepperoni pizza came out I thought it was a cheese pizza as all the pepperoni had been covered with cheese. To be fair the pizza would have been good without all that cheese.

Also in response to the owner, I tend not to want to complain. Probably best to use this as feedback. I am sure other dishes are good but this is what I encountered. Furthermore staffing may be an issue but as the only customers in the restaurant, that is...

My husband and I had the rudest service ever. We went for a dinner around 6:30pm and only 2 tables were taken but waitress told us that she can only serve us takeaway or outside. We decided to eat outside as the weather was lovely. But we realised that she let other people eat inside, she didn't serve us a water and didn't bring any covering outside. She was so rude to us that when our order was ready she yielded to us instead of bringing it. We had some argument with her but she was the rudest waitress I never meet and the fact that she treated us differently that others is even worst. Also she gave us our food in takeaway boxes, almost like she didn't want to serve us at all or clean after us. About the food pasta was OK but pizza wasn't autentic at all, the dough was most likely from supermarket and there was too much garlic that I couldn't taste...

Really wanted to like this place because the owners seemed very genuine but we were left disappointed. The previous reviews lead us to believe this place had great Italian food but the pasta we ordered was well past al dente and the sauce was overpowered with garlic - very unpleasant. We also ordered the butter chicken which had an incredible flavour but the chicken clearly wasn’t cooked fresh. It seemed like all the previous reviews were based on the previous owners speciality, and the new owners are trying to live up the reviews by replicating the same dishes when it might not be what they’re best at. This restaurant could be much better if the focus was on perfecting a smaller menu (perhaps cutting out the Pasta options entirely or sticking to just one cuisine).
